Not excuses just reasons.

When there's a contest he needs to impact or a tackle that needs to be laid he's not built enough to have any impact at all. Bounces right off.

When there's a ground ball to be won he's too tall and his centre of gravity way off to get down to pick it up. Just ends up soccering it.

He's athletically gifted for sure but I'm not sure his build actually suits the roles that his athleticism leans towards.
