Now, I usually think Damo is a useless tool, but I think he hit the nail on the head for once in his career. Must be his broken clock moment.
I can't help but think that there's a final chapter to be written in Buddy's career. I'd hate to see the second half of his career go (ultimately) unrewarded, I just feel as though he has (at least) one last hurrah left in his career.
I'm sure these conversations are happening within the 4 walls of the clubs, perhaps not as a key message within the team as a whole, but surely players and individuals within the club have spoken about the door being wide open in 2022, and that if everyone focuses on their roles for the remainder of the year, and stay locked into the contest over the 4 quarters, in each game for the remainder of the season, that we put ourselves in a position to snatch the flag.
And I've heard in countless interviews over the years how much Buddy has contributed to the team both on and off the field and has helped others develop their games. Surely as a playing group they'd have thought it would be great to win a premiership alongside one of the greatest players to ever play the game.
and given it was a good one by Damo, I'll even link to his article.

IF ...
you're writing off this team's premiership hopes ...THEN ...
stop it. Has got the right mix – good spine, dynamic midfield, points of difference in the forward line. And there's another massive chapter to come, somewhere, in the Buddy story.and given it was a good one by Damo, I'll even link to his article.
IF only 18 months ago some at the club wanted the coach gone ... THEN
Sliding Doors is in full swing ... and the gloves are off
