I'm counting on you here, Bonz. Don't let me down.

Likely a grade 1 strain.

It's a 1-3 week recovery time, but recovers faster based on prior strength, immediate icing, physio and your recovery.

1 week is very easy if you ice it immediately, strap it and keep off it for an extended period of time.

Even if it's a 2-3 week injury, if it's grade one it won't affect his performance, it's just extended rest afterwards to fully recover.

(Fun fact, hot showers or baths are really really bad for an ankle or joint injury as they promote swelling).

Oh believe me I know. Broken ankle and grade 3 sprain in the other. Good times.

Offft.

Yeah with the amount of sport I play I tend to roll my ankle fairly regularly, have learnt a fair bit about the recovery process now over the years.

(Each night after training it's a massage gun, manual roll and ice cold muscle bath 😂).

I just like to complain about the lack of media support we get from the "VIC centred media" like everyone else on here. Shouldn't everyone be waxing lyrical about us?

The lack of media attention has done and is doing Sydney a massive favour moving towards the prelim. It could also explain the modest coverage on social media by the Swans themselves, perhaps intentional.
Players and coaches can focus on the games and not the outside hype and noise and distractions that come with it. It's an advantage to the Swans

My son in law is also an Essendon supporter but we and my daughter are slowing converting him. Reckon it will only take another 2-3 years for the full conversion.
You are lucky, mine is steadfast (and also a little insane I'm sure)!
He's a lovely bloke though and I try not to hold it against him, he actually sends me funny memes and things he sees about them.

Even though it’s frowned upon to change teams, I think Essendon supporters should get a one-time free pass on this. They can change alliances one time without judgment or repercussions.

I was 16 at the time and my family and I drove up to the SCG for the qualifying final against Hawthorn and this game as well. Both thrillers. Both amazing considering how long we'd been s**t for.

We were about as far back as you could possibly get from the action. The very back wall of the top level but it was amazing. The sounds were deafening and the atmosphere was electric. I'll never forget it.

I'd been a Swan supporter since I could remember but the 1995 and 1996 seasons really ignited my love for them and I've been a rusted on swans tragic ever since.

Side note: When I was about 21 I worked at a local service station in Ballarat and Plugger came in one day to buy the paper. I told him I was a massive swans fan and had been all my life. I asked him politely if I could get his signature. He just said "No", then turned and walked out LMAO.
As a fellow Ballaratarian, Hi MF. Coincidentally my initials are also MF.
Plugger was a grumpy old bastard whilst at St.Kilda. I reckon he became better after moving to the Swans but even then he wasn't the most approachable of people.

Haha. An Essendon Amnesty. That would make a great thread on Bay 13, not that I ever venture there.

In saying he's an Essendon supporter, AFL is not his first love like those here. He plays soccer and that is his passion so it could be easier to convert him.
My daughter bought the Vic membership this year which is terrible value for money. Cost her around $130 but then had to pay an extra $15 for each game attended. As it turned out, due to family and friend functions and her going overseas on her honeymoon she only got to two games. The thought of us being in the GF was still enough to make her pay it. The partner (now husband) thought about it but after the Essendon debacle thought there was no way we'd be in the GF so didn't pay up for a membership. He is sooooooo pissed off now.

It's all general discussion nothing to do with us in the media , not about who the f has an essendoom membership
