There needs to be an AFL version of Media Watch, where the footy personalities in the media are scrutinised for the job they're doing "analysing" the game. It's unfair that they get to sit in their cushy jobs and scrutinise the hell out of anyone they want in footy with impunity.

If they want to do it, then fine. But then someone should be doing it to them, too.

I’d like to nominate bedford to host said show.

Great work
how good is it listening to an intelligent, balanced, (relatively) unbiased appraisal of the games.
Ex coaches - Bucks and Adam Simpson offer some very insightful opinions. I think Horse is still too closely tied to the Swans to speak without guards up..
David King - please find a different job where we/I never have to look/listen to you again

The media at Cox's presser earlier today were useless.

Cox says there were a couple of concussions and a shoulder injury to Swans in the VFL scratch match and nobody followed up on it...
Still no report on the actual game from us. GWS had a full write-up posted on their website by Saturday arvo.

AFL injury page has us having updated it today, without any additional listed players on it (except Adams). So maybe it was non listed players, which you'd think he would mention.

They often do that, then we release the official report, and they quickly scramble to update it to match!

Swans' injury list soars with another mid ruled out for weeks

Tom McCartin was also missing from Sydney’s training session on Tuesday.

Tom Papley will be raring to go on Saturday, despite the forward seen hobbling on his fragile ankle against the Hawks.

Papley missed much of the Swans' pre-season after spraining his ankle and was tested before being cleared to play last Friday.

"Papley is fine. He will train fully this week and be good to go," Cox said.

This is interesting. We are injury ravaged, have a new coach who is trying to implement a new plan, Lions are almost full strength and the ESPN people pick us. Weird. I would think Lions would be odd on for this one. WE will lose Tay as well.

So this from ESPN, they do not credit the writers;

We were favorites in last week's game up until Friday morning.

We did alright against them in H&A last year, after losing 2 players in the 2nd quarter. Were without a couple of key players in Jmac and Rowy already.

At home.

Plus, we've had a game to get some rust out. They haven't.

They lost about 6 players before we played them , oops on wrong thread

Goes to show how much ESPN actually know about us.
