We were very dominant in the first quarter, kept the ball moving, crisp passing, looked like we had Sydney's measure. Some very bad goal kicking let us down. 1 goal, 4 behinds, 2 out on the fulls.

So we were up by 3 going into the 2nd quarter, and one thing changed in the 2nd quarter, clearences. All of sudden Sydney got every clearence and scored on every occasion. I think they had 7 inside fifties for 7 goals. Scarlett was sick and couldn't run (Hall got 4 goals for the quarter). The other defenders were nowhere to be seen. We got 2 late goals in the quarter to salvage something.

So into the 3rd quarter, we started playing alright again. Before you knew it, we had the next 3 goals we were only down by 23. Alas we died off, had no intensity and they kicked the next 2. They lined up for one on the siren, went floating towards the goal line, a simple punch would have done, but none of our players made contact and it went through for a goal.

4th Quarter, well i stopped watching after 5 mins.

If we had say 6.1 in the first quarter (which we could have easily had) it probably would have been a different story.

Change that to Swans too good for Geelongs VFL side.
Excatly. Take out four of their second quarter goals and it's a different story. Put our best side on paper on and we would've beaten them.

Blake, another great game for the opposition on debut I might add...Hopefully he comes good later on. To quote gfc.com.au:

I don't get it. How come even though all the umpiring went towards you cats, you still only got behinds and not a lot of 6 pointers? trent kelly (I think thats his nam, if not then I apologise) missed so mnay of them. you could have had the game if those were not missed

Trent Kelly

It's James Kelly, but it sounds like you're talking about Kent Kingsley.

We are pretenders, you can't say "take our four of their goals" blah blah blah..fotty isn't about what if's, we are simply not good enough and obviously don't have the depth to win a flag.
The culture of our club is the worst in the comp...we've achieved nothing yet we think we're travelling OK!

Should be "Swans too good for Bendigo Bank Cats"
haha nice work!

I dont think we can blame everything on our injuries, i wish we could but i cant. I no they are 2 totally different teams but the pies have missed there CHF (rocca) all year and i think Fraser has only played 2-3 games, Buckley out(meaning he is one of there best midfielders i.e Ling). But the pies are crap anyway but just a thought i had at school today.

I think it is abit unfair to say we "CANT" win a premiership, i think its fair to say at this point in time we dont deserve to win the premiership. We are playing inconsistant but hopefully thatwill change in the next few weeks and we will roll em in september!
