Yer season feels gone after tonight whatever slim chance we had is gone because i dont think we are anywhere near good enough to win 3 finals on the road.

100% agree. Thought we might have a fairytale finish in us but not really feeling that now.

I thought we battled hard, especially with our two best players out, but like others have said, we really needed the double chance to have any hope.

Richmond in the prelim, beat them at the G last time we played them there.

Looks like our final will be against Geelong, with a possibility of it being against GWS. To be honest I am not remotely confident about either as Chris Scott has had the wood over Longmire for a year now, and GWS, well if things click for them they play a gamestyle that would be difficult for us to counter.

Yes but Geelong had a lot more scoring shots than us and by any measure other than scoreboard were the much better team on the day.

Was just about to say the same. I also don't remember them being the "much better team" on the day. We won clearances, had more tackles, inside 50s were even. No way were they the much better team on the day.

Most of the posts on this forum since 10pm last night have been lamenting how terrible we have been at home this year, so wouldn't the logical extension of that be that we have a BETTER CHANCE of winning 3 finals on the road, especially as we have already beaten five of the other seven finalists on their grounds already this year?

Hoping against Geelong they have had two nice bruise free games. Go in and pressure them like crazy and we win on a small ground suited to keeping it in tight and hard. SCG record this year will be spoken about all fortnight but will be buried when we beat the cats.
