That's always the issue isn't it. Linc is as good a depth player as you'd get in the AFL which is how he would've likely started the year.

Hoping Beecken might be a smokey. Like what we've seen so far. Even Dev is pure depth but he'd get a game in most other teams.
I count 3.

In this weeks rd i back him to get a game in...Sydney, Gold Coast, Collingwood, Melbourne, Richmond, St Kilda, Carlton, Essendon, North Melbourne, Port, West Coast.

He might not be the starting midfield, but he'd be in their midfield rotations no doubt.

He was in our GF team only a year and a half ago. He's a better player than so many give him credit for. He probably will never be an A grade mid, but he gets a game in most teams in this league currently.

Go through each of those clubs midfields and select the player he’d replace.

The three clubs I had in mind were West Coast, Richmond and St Kilda.

I just don't think they're as good as us.

First up for us with them fired up after last week is the main problem but Andrews Payne and to a lesser extent Hipwood should be dominant considering the lack of depth in their M/F.
Except we have had an interrupted couple of weeks with regards to training, but generally agree their not as good as us, and the last 4 or so games against them tends to support that.

Amartey kicked 3 last week against a decent Hawthorne backline. I reckon if Amartey is the main target with forward entries then I can live with their main forward/target kicking three.

I believe we will play tall, with Sam Day, so I think there is a chance McCartin goes back and Mclean plays forward/ruck. Swans should not have one of their most dangerous running players in Blakey, playing deep in defence as occurred last week, due to McCartin playing forward. IF McCartin plays back, Payne likely takes their main target Amartey and Harris should dominate.

Always a chance McCartin goes back i suppose.
But McCartin has been playing forward all preseason according to reports.
I doubt a new coach will change what he thought is best for the team in the 2nd game of the season.
McCartin took 7 marks (2 contested) just 1 inside 50, for 1 goal 1 behind.
I don't see a case for Cox moving him after one game.

Hopefully he has a shocker, and they consider moving him the following game.

I reckon linc might have played. Idk who for but he looked good against Adelaide.

Best depth in the comp as it stands. Let's hope we don't need to test it and the players stay fit. 🤞

Yeah, my confidence for this match stems from the fact that our python of a back 6 will strangle a work in progress forward structure, with a greatly weakened midfield for supply. I see our forwards scoring as usual with a bit greater sharing of the sausage rolls.

We quite often have around 10 different goal kickers per match so what would you consider greater sharing of the sausages?

Fair point about a new coach not wanting to give up a structural change after one game. If McCartin reverted back to fullback for this game, still think Cox will persist with giving him an opportunity playing forward.

Apparently they have Francis and McDonald out (injured), and with McCartin forward, I think they look undersized in the KPD, against Hippy, Day and Morris.

I'm not sure I like debuting anybody as a sub, let alone Levi.

I'm not a massive fan, but it does piss off supercoach/AFL Fantasy nerds so it at least has something going for it.

We have no injuries from the Premiership team so very hard for someone to lose their spot for Levi. What's the point of him playing a VFL scratch match?
