could be casterton as they have tried and our league has tried to help them get into a victorian leagueJuniors is a issue in a few leagues but it's gotta be a step in the right direction for that league to get it going. Hopefully it can be sustained. Interesting titbit about a new club ... maybe a Mininera club?

For sure...just perusing the U17 results, it seems promising. Every side fielded a team which unfortunately isn't the case everywhere, Dartmoor (then Tyrendarra) appeared to be a cut above the rest. I'm curious to know where Dartmoor get their players from TBH. I've driven thru that town .... it's nowhere even close to the size of either Coleraine or Heywood, right? That's a great setup down there at Westerns (highlighted by your handiwork with the cameraFor some reason they didn't upload the radio show otherwise I would link the interview. It was just a brief mention that a club might be interested in joining the SWDFL.
From an outsiders view, it seems like the league is growing a bit. Would love a local to comment but with the inclusion of the juniors, it just felt like a traditional footy netball league, this might get more people involved.
I wouldn't be surprised if Westerns improve a fair bit over the next few years with their facility and having the best location.
). That's gotta help with recruiting/retaining players.Yeah that's what intrigued me as well! It's hard to work it out from PlayHQ of course cos all of them played junior footy for other clubs. At least in the juniors, they go to high school in Mount Gambier or Heywood so they can drag some mates across to play for Darty. I did make a video on the u17s though.I'm curious to know where Dartmoor get their players from TBH. There is some chitter-chatter on some of the other forums (Wimmera League / Horsham District League) about Harrow Balmoral possibly jumping over to the South West, so there is another possibilitycould be casterton as they have tried and our league has tried to help them get into a victorian league
Could all be nonsense. We're into the "silly season" now with the smaller/district leagues finished up now!I know in my league Penola was confirmed they are still trying to get a second team, mt burr is most likely that team (hopefully)There is some chitter-chatter on some of the other forums (Wimmera League / Horsham District League) about Harrow Balmoral possibly jumping over to the South West, so there is another possibilityCould all be nonsense. Mt Burr leaving the MidSE league to go over to the Limestone Coast league?I know in my league Penola was confirmed they are still trying to get a second team, mt burr is most likely that team (hopefully)
No, a MSEFL club leaving isn't happening anymore, at least not for next year.Mt Burr leaving the MidSE league to go over to the Limestone Coast league?
Kinda ties with this one:No, a MSEFL club leaving isn't happening anymore, at least not for next year.

MSE clubs ‘staying put’ | The SE Voice
Multiple clubs in the Mid South Eastern Football League have stated they will not become the eighth club in the new Limestone Coast Football Netball League in 2025. The former Western Border Football League with six clubs was re-badged this year to form the new LCFNL with Kowree Naracoorte...sevoice.com.au

Only a casual observer here ... Westerns dropped off this year. They have a neat setup there now and after last year's effort I thought they'd go on with it.yeah, pretty dead in here
Been busy with MSEFL playing for port mac this year (that thread is really dead), not really my league will have to have a look at it soonOnly a casual observer here ... Westerns dropped off this year. They have a neat setup there now and after last year's effort I thought they'd go on with it.
Any thoughts/observations on how the junior setup is going in the SWD league?
Only been to one game this year but seems to be alright, the prior junior footy system didn't make a lot of sense to me.Any thoughts/observations on how the junior setup is going in the SWD league?
That's a real credit to them. They always seem strong from what I can gather. Maybe they get a little overflow from the area towards the Mount.Only been to one game this year but seems to be alright, the prior junior footy system didn't make a lot of sense to me.
Dartmoor u17s are undefeated with 500%, credit to them for assembling a side with few people in the town. The orange team are also on top of the ressies and seniors so going really well as a club.
No good for Heywood that Leon Davis is out with a torn pec, didn't stop him playing darts for Victoria!
I agree a top five in an eight team comp is a bit odd. Only three teams miss out on finals, and sometimes a team with a losing record can sneak in.That's a real credit to them. They always seem strong from what I can gather. Maybe they get a little overflow from the area towards the Mount.
A-grade league looks like it was somewhat decent this year, 6 out of 8 teams getting amongst the wins. Top of the table clash to finish out the season too! Plenty riding on it since they appear to have a final 5 which always makes me laugh in an 8 team comp but whatever works for them. 5th spot is still up for grabs too as 5th are playing 6th !!!
