Hi all,

We gather here today to celebrate the union of Martha and Greg.

Today we will celebrate those who decide to spend their valuable time posting in our great league, the Sweet F.A. The Sweet F.A Players Association - beez Trophy is an award given out based on the votes of the players in the league. Votes were sent in by carrier pigeon, tallied up by a band of monkeys, and the league has decided who the best poster of Season 24 is.

I'd like to congratulate everyone on a fantastic season. Certainly a roller coaster. If you're not in this list of players, you either received zero votes or are in the Top 20 players.


Please don't derail this thread like the All-SFA thread has been. We've all talked about the process, the boys club, everything else one hundred times. I would appreciate it if it doesn't infect yet another thread.

It has been a meteoric rise for JoshWoodenSpoon, from no votes last season to the top 20 in S24. His ascension to All-SFA selection and posting stardom took many by surprise; when Matera92 announced that he was hanging up his boots at the conclusion of the season, few would have expected JWS to step straight into them. But he is a clear candidate for leadership at the Bears, and has produced two pieces of quality media, The SFA Craft Resources, which famously hooked Ant Bear into spending 4 hours on an online jigsaw, and the Sweet FA Finals Prospectus, which was dazzling in the variety of insults hurled at players for the teams playing finals.

Many might not know, but Josh fist came into the league in S19, for the Bandits. He played 41 games over 3 seasons, before being purged, and made a comeback last season with the Bears. Little hint of his ascension came last season, but he raised the posting bar this season, averaging over 50 posts/game and ranking in the top 15 overall for quantity.

Look for JoshWoodenSpoon’s star to rise even further in coming seasons, as he leads the Bears out of the woods, and congratulations to him on a very well-earned top 20 ranking

haydo23 has had a terrific season as the captain of the West Coast Wonders.

Last season the face of the Wonders placed 39th, therefore rocketing up the rankings 20 places in Season 24. This should come as no surprise that he has done this. A lot of people won't get to see the work he has put in throughout the season behind the scenes until Monday night, so this really is indicative of how he has upped his posting stocks by becoming a favourite around the league in match and media threads.

He has been a prolific match poster, and his peers are seemingly enjoying his work. haydo is a wizard with graphics and uses them to showcase his style of posting. haydo has been a fantastic media contributor this season with his Sliding Doors threads as well as doing work on the Sweet F.A History Archives board.

A new entry into the top 20 is Mount Buller Demon Elton Johns Wig. Having debuted last season with 152 votes while at the Hawks, EJW has made the quantum leap into the league’s elite.

The S23 EKA Medallist, Elton Johns Wig has proved to be one of the most consistent posters in a very good unit at his second club, averaging 35 posts of the purest quality. Like fine wine which he hocks to the highest bidders, his posting has matured with time. He also seems to be taking on an apprentice, with S24 EKA favourite Yakker showing remarkable similarities in style.

EJW is never shy with an interjection into Media threads, and has authored many fine threads himself in his short career, with the highlight this season being the Persona-lly Speaking thread, at a particularly appropriate time for the league, as it shone the spotlight on personas vs personalities.

We can expect to see Elton Johns Wig as a fixture in the upper echelons in this award for many seasons if he continues his fine work and doesn’t break too many ribs by sneezing. Well done, EJW.

He might not get no respect, but RodneyDangerfield cements his place as an elite poster in the SFA with another top 20 finish, backing up his 16 spot and 435 votes in S23.

The versatile Demon has a laconic style, and a dry humour that shines through all his posting, and though he professes to not know what is going on much of the time, his sharp wit mirrors the schtick of his namesake.

Rodney found his niche in the continuation of the Bushwood Country Club series that had been started in S22, and though not a weekly institution this season (to the relief of all who suffered his dreaded Kiss Of Death), the episode that he posted was one of the season highlights.

RD averaged 16 posts, and was a consistent fixture in the active Demons squad, and is one of the most sought –after players in the league due to his ability to find humour in every situation. Well done Rodders on consecutive top 20 finishes in the beez MVP Trophy
