Last season's wipping boys, previous era's whoppers, the Furies would not set any worlds alight for S14. So surely we'd beat 'em, right? Well, maybe, but at this particular point of the season, they were three from three and looking like a new side. Their hopes of four from four dominated the early part of the thread, until disgruntled eggs took over. Eggs and poultry are the subjects most commonly used for naive art self-deprecating pun-work. Then came pokemon ... whatever that is. Then came a bunch of stupid pictures. No respect.

The match itself was a game of two halves. Well, it can't really be a match of three, and can only be a match of one if it's unfinished, in which case the half becomes the whole and it's no longer one half but a full match again. In the first half, Furies were coasting. They went inland after that, though, and the Roys piled on 12 goals to 2 and took the lollies, specifically the whizz fizz and musk sticks. Even Freakie played well, which is freaky.

Most Improved Player Award
This is the hardest award to bestow because a) it's made of lead, and b) all of our players always remain s**t, all the time. But someone had to be a little less s**t than last year, and this time it was flea29. Moving onto bigger dogs, the old, old, stager from early seasons has finally become any good :D Congratulations flea!

On to the Hawks and renewing acquaintance with last season's Broken medallist, Itsmyshow. He was typically replete in the spam that got him the arse and sent him to last. Spidermonkey met spiderbush and much lols were had, especially considering this occurs on the web. boncer & someone from the Roys, can't remember who, had a falling out, much like the falling out these two had :

Then suddenly, hit s**t fan the. Reardo and the TommyGun both got red cards that lasted a day and everybody went psycho changing them in, changing them out, doing the hokey pokey and shaking them all about. Something happened, other things did not. While quite sensational, this Roys/Hawks clash would not prove to be the most controversial of the season.

Then everything got pretty boring again. This was a massive thread with little real content. There was a bit of aussie movie discussion.

We went on toulouse, but nobody gave a damn.

With seven rounds under our belt ... for two wins, we start over again through the opponents, meaning its time to head out west and tackle 7th. This was the Christmas edition of Season 14.

The thread started slow and then completely ****ing tapered off. There was some Troll v Roy exchange, some staring blankly at Jobe, and then a discussion about what presents all the children wanted to get. Some hair care conversation also ensued. FattyLumpkin sounded like he had the best day of days. Kudos to croweater for a Jimmy Stewart photo, though I was sure I'd used the same one myself at an earlier stage.

The Wonders kicked out to a three goal lead but from that moment on it was all ... both teams, as we reined in the deficit and went toe to toe right through to the final siren. At which point, we had won! Awesive! Freakie got benched for kicking straight.

Off to the Island for a bashout with ljp's team of oddballs and dill pickles. We now a small few wins under our belt and are not without a shot at the finals, but we all know we'll be s**t and fail. Nevertheless, it doesn't mean we have to lose this one!

Someone asked Reardo when the last time was that he'd made a change to out team. Not sure if he replied, possibly because the last time there was a change it was him outed for a red card. Conversations included backpacker hostels, a questionable question mark, and some football match with us and the Dragons in it. The latter was the most dynamic part.

After leading for most of the game, we polished off our performance with an off performance during the latter stages and went down by a few goals. We were fast becoming the best at this. Everybody was terrible and all were promptly shot after the game. Clones were used for the remainder of the season.

Most Consistent Player Award

There were a lot of consistent performances this year, apologies must go to many of them, including Broken, CtR, 3KZ, Fred, Reardo, probably everybody except me, really. But the standout for mine was royboy2 who put in every week and often got amongst the best players. So congrats rb2, and keep it up! (forever) (no choice in the matter)
