Team of the Week Round 16.png
Defenders

BP - jackenny (Hawks) - Split their time between defence and ruck and did well in both positions. Finished with 8 hitouts, 26 disposals, 4 marks and a goal after starting in the back pocket.

FB - RodneyDangerfield (Royals) - For most of the season he's been a dour run-with midfielder but he moved to full back for the penultimate round of the year. Completely shut down out of the in-form full forwards of the competition in Its Manbearpig, keeping him goalless as the Royals came from behind to win by 9 points.

BP - Packedlunch (Warriors) - It's very rare for a CHB to top the Dream Team statistic for a team but Packedlunch did just that in a sublime performance for the losing Warriors. Had 17 disposals as well as 9 marks, and kept Wonders captain Dingster goalless.

HB - A Swallow (Dragons) - A close loss to the Swamprats threw the Dragons season into disarray but they had good usage off the half back flank from their veteran A Swallow. Finished with 12 kicks, 5 handballs and 5 marks.

CHB - Van_Dyke (Demons) - Top shelf performance for a key defender from the Demons centre half back. Managed to reel in 9 marks and had an impressive 22 disposals as well as keeping his opponent to just 1 goal.

HB - xenxen (Dragons) - Teamed up well with fellow TOTW nominee A Swallow. Shut down Quadzilla completely to just 4 touches and 0 scoring shots whilst also picking up 15 disposals and 7 marks himself.

Midfielders

W - Tony Lynn 15 (Bombers) - Huge game from the Baghdad winger in a losing side. Was arguably best on ground and finished with 24 disposals (including 16 kicks), 8 marks, 7 tackles and a goal. Only 4 free kicks against kept his DT total to just 111.

C - Tandy (Bears) - One of the most talented rookies in the entire league, Tandy tried his hardest to pull the Bears from the jaws of victory and failed but will be undoubtedly pick up the maximum B&F votes for his efforts. Finished with a game high 29 disposals, 6 marks and 2 goals and was the only player on the ground to crack 100 DT points.

W - Chappyuk (Furies) - Horrid conditions out at Brunswick Junction Oval saw just 35 scoring shots between the two sides, leading to some average stat lines. Chappy was one of the Furies' best despite this, picking up 22 disposals, including 13 kicks, as well as 5 marks and a goal in an influential performance.

Ru - manangatang (Demons) - There were no truly dominant tap performances this week so I couldn't overlook the most well-rounded ruckman performance of the week. The ex-Fury finished with 10 hitouts, 28 disposals, 4 tackles and 2 goals and should be heavily considered for the All-SFA team.

RR - DERO (Gumbies) - Partnered superbly with his ruck roo2macca and helped soften the blow of losing BRAB to suspension. Finished with 28 disposals, 6 tackles and 6 free kicks in a performance that will almost certainly see him pick up 3 Mobbs votes.

Ro - ShaunDuggan (Wonders) - After an auspicious start, SD has picked up form just in time for the finals and was head and shoulders above the rest in his sides' 31 point win over the Wonders. Finished with 19 disposals, 8 tackles, 4 free kicks and 3 goals in the most dominant performance of the round.

Forwards

HF - Elton Johns Wig (Wonders) - Has had a tumultous season on-field and gave up the captaincy mere weeks into his tenure but had his best game of the season in Round 16. Played on a half forward flank and had 16 disposals, 5 marks and 3 goals.

CHF - Grockadoc (Furies) - A more goal-oriented performance than IDC, with the Furies veteran kicking 3 goals from CHF. Had 16 touches and 5 marks to go along with and his accuracy was crucial in a low scoring affair.

HF - Ulahoopski (Royals) - Has been one of the in-form players for the Royals in the past fortnight and had another strong showing in the forward line. Finished with 18 disposals, 6 marks, a tackle and 3 goals as well as a late move into the backline to help keep the Bears at bay.

FP - Mooch (Roys) - Was a tough day for the Roys and many of their players went missing. Their star was full forward Mooch, kicking 4 of their 9 goals and having just as many kicks as their rover.

FF - okeydoke7 (Wonders) - okeydoke's bag was the only one this week in a terrible round for full forwards and scoring in general. Was a bit wayward, but his 5 goals sets him up well for the final round as he trails by just 1 goal in the FRED Medal race.

FP - I Dont Care (Swamprats) - Big game in average conditions for the big key forward. Had a big battle with xenxen and came out tops, taking 8 marks at CHF to go with 16 disposals, a tackle, a goal and 80 DT points.

Interchange

Int - roo2macca (Gumbies) - The consistent Gumbies ruckman is in the side for his work around the ground rather than his tapwork and essentially played as a fourth midfielder in his sides' 5 goal win over the Bombers. Had just 9 hitouts but racked up 26 disposals, 4 tackles and 2 goals.

Int - philreich (Swamprats) - As usual the Swamprats stalwart was willing to win the hard ball for his side and went a long way in a tight game. Had a respectable 18 disposals to go with a game high 10 tackles, 5 free kicks and a goal.

When is he going to find anyone new to get a spot.

This team is harder to get into then the AUstralian Cricket Team Pre-ball tampering incident.
Ohhh, I dunno if it's that hard mate, even I got a gig!!!

Dingster maybe it's time I had a run in the ruck?
