11.05.2022: Gang Wars Escalate. Comanchero kingpin Tarek Zahed and his brother Omar sustained multiple gunshot wounds after being hit with a hail of bullets at Bodyfit Fitness Centre, in Auburn in Western Sydney, just after 8pm last night.

A Sydney crime figure, Bilal Hamze, has been gunned down in a Sydney alleyway in a brazen CBD attack.

Hoping this isn’t going to spark an escalation between crime groups in Sydney.

The killing of underworld figure Bilal Hamze in Sydney’s CBD last Friday night appeared to signal an ominous escalation in the feud between two Middle Eastern crime families – the Hamzy and Alameddine clans. Hamze, 34, was a cousin of Brothers 4 Life founder Bassam Hamzy, serving 21 years in Goulburn’s Supermax jail for the murder of a teenager outside a Paddington nightclub.
In December the NSW Supreme Court was told the quarrel between the Hamzy and Alameddine families had been triggered by a drug theft before turning violent. Police were seeking court orders to limit the movement and personal contacts of members of the Hamzy and Alameddine families to thwart revenge attacks following the October assassination of Bassam’s brother, Mejid Hamzy.

According to police, Mejid’s killing came five days after the assault of an Alameddine associate by Ibrahim Hamzy, another cousin of Bassam. Three days after the assault, Ibrahim Hamzy’s Auburn home was sprayed with bullets. Just hours before Mejid was killed, gunshots were fired into the house of a prominent Alameddine family member. The barrister representing the police told the court the Hamzy family had been shown to want “revenge for any slight, real or perceived” and that this invariably involved “acts of extreme violence”. ..... suggested Bassam was pulling the strings despite being locked up in the Supermax and that his relatives “couldn’t say no” to him.
..............

Last week’s assassination of Bilal Hamze in the heart of Sydney’s CBD was a shockingly public act of violence, but both sides will know nothing disrupts the business of organised crime like bodies on the streets.

Should we change the title of this thread? 'Crime Figure', like 'Underworld Identity', is a euphemism that potentially reduces the impact of his crimes. Maybe 'Sydney Criminal', 'Sydney Drug Dealer' or 'Sydney Meth Manufacturer' (I don't know what this guy did) would be more appropriate.

Next round:

A man has been shot dead and an "innocent bystander" is in hospital after the latest attack in Sydney's gangland war.

Key points:
  • NSW Police say Shady Kanj was killed in a targeted shooting
  • Mr Kanj was known to police
  • In June, the feud between the Hamzy and Alameddine families claimed the life of underworld boss Bilal Hamze

It doesn't even take a break through lockdowns up there.

Bump. This is going to drag out.
Father & son shot dead, Salim & Toufik.

Sydney-siders ?

From The Aus:

Paramedics could not revive Salim Hamze and he died at the scene. Toufik Hamze was treated in a critical condition but has since died.

“A crime scene has been established, which will be examined by specialist forensic police,” NSW Police said.

“Numerous police resources are conducting inquiries into the incident.”

The shooting comes just months after Hamze family member and underworld figure Bilal Hamze was shot dead in the heart of Sydney’s CBD in June in what is police called a “brutal, execution style murder”.

The killings appear to signal an ominous escalation in the feud between two Middle Eastern crime families – the Hamzy and Alameddine clans.

It’s a bit of a worry these feuding families. Not only have there been multiple fatalities linked to the families but the brazen nature of some of these attempts at retribution could one day see innocents in the line of fire.
