Well that was a surprise. The Bag played very well though, was patient and waited for the right ball to attack. Hewitt just couldn't penetrate him. Still see Hewitt as a decent threat over 5 sets at the Aussie Open though, over 5 sets he's close to the top 10.

That was more like their match at Wimbledon a few years back, Baghdatis just really attack and stepping inside the baseline very well, too much pentration for Lleyton. Lleyton would be disappointed with some of the errors he hit in the 3rd, did drop off his game a bit.

Luczak had his chance in the 1st set as well but lost in straight. Have to admit though, he's playing as well as he ever has been, promising signs for AO and more so the South American tour in Feburary.

Looking forward to the women's final tomorrow night but I see Dementieva doing something similar to last year in Sydney.

The only reason Hewitt won the first set was because Marcos was a bit lack lustre I thought. Wasn't really doing much and Hewitt was really only winning from his errors. Whilst it does in some part come from the Hewitt game style anyway, you could always tell Marcos was cruising. Would love for him to be a top player again.

Shit match from Gasquet.
The guy is so talented but is too weak mentally... suppose time is on his side though.
Hopefully making the final in Sydney and the quarters in Brisbane will give him some confidence for the AO.
