Cause he is now the hands of the wa law. He might go to jail for what a white guy gets a slap in the wrist?

It sounds messed up but this is apparently the reality
Thats got **** all to do with initially ****ing up though, which he has done repeatedly.

If he ****ed up in Vic, he wouldn't go to jail. He does over there. That sucks, agree.

But it doesn't change the fact that again, he. ****ed. up.

That is not WA's fault, no matter how much you wanna twist it. I mean, did WA buy his kebab for him too?

I say get him back let him show his skills the last 10 games of the year and then let The E girls give us 3 first rounders for him at the end of the year.

WC have 3 first rounders next year?...

That is a tough punishment. If that doesn’t give him the wake up call he needs nothing will.

Going to be interesting to see what the club does now

TBH, given that some have copped far worse I'm actually amazed this is all that he's getting.

My reaction is that he's getting off lightly given that the maximum penalty is $50k or 12 months gaol.

And just to clarify: I'm not saying he should have gotten worse, just that I was sort of expecting it given all the circumstances (including previous breaches).*

EDIT: Turns out he's only been locked up pending trial on the 6th of Jan. so this isn't the end of it. He could yet face worse.

If we do keep him it’s got to be on an extremely short leash

I’m talking even missing a training session without a legitimate excuse that’s it

If that doesn't make you re evaluate your life choices than nothing will, wonder if his party buddies will be there for him when he is no longer a Afl.player, and just a floating through life nobody.
Yeah he's got time to think now, might be the moment the penny drops hopefully.

If CCJ and stack didn’t break the hub rules the club wouldn’t of been fined 100k out of the soft cap that would of certainly cost at least 1 or 2 football department jobs

When Dusty has been arrested twice in 6 months for being out drunk and fighting when he should be elsewhere I’ll be more than happy to revisit this comparison
Mrs Cotch says hello. Don't forget my 45k for getting nails done. That's one job There

AFL player Sydney Stack ‘distressed’ about spending Christmas behind bars for Perth ‘quarantine breach’

21st December 2020

He was issued a move-on notice by officers in the early hours of Saturday morning in the Northbridge entertainment precinct, which led to the 20-year-old being charged over the alleged quarantine breach.

After a magistrate refused his bail application on Sunday, Stack was transferred from the Perth Watchhouse to Hakea Prison, where – under the prison’s policy – he is required to restart his 14 days quarantine in an isolated cell.

During a brief hearing in the Perth Magistrates Court on Monday, Stack’s matter was discussed in his absence, with the duty lawyer revealing Hakea Prison does not allow people in custody for COVID-related breaches to leave their cell to appear via video link.

Magistrate Jennifer Hawkins adjourned the matter until January 6, “given Mr Stack is unable to speak”.

Outside court, his manager, Paul Peos, said he was worried about Stack’s short-term health while in custody.

“It’s been very difficult to have communication and we’re very disappointed but we’ll continue to try and engage with him as best we can,” he said.

“He’s having a very difficult time but it’s the consequences of the times we’re in, these are the charges and this is what he has to do.

“He did not sound OK, he sounded very distressed and very upset.”

Asked about Stack’s career and the remaining year left on his contract at Richmond, Mr Peos said he had been in regular contact with the club since the weekend.

“Football’s a little bit further ahead, we’ve got to deal with the current matters from now to January 6,” he said, adding the time in custody may lead to Stack missing his return flight to Melbourne.

During his first court appearance on Sunday, Stack told the Magistrate he had returned to WA for cultural healing and stayed at the Northam address for two days, where he had a disagreement with his grandmother before moving to Belmont to stay with other family members.

Stack told his lawyer if he was allowed out on bail he wouldn’t “step a toe out of line”, adding: “My AFL career is on the line.”

The rising star’s career is hanging in the balance after being caught up in another COVID-19 scandal.

In September he was caught breaching the AFL Gold Coast hub rules when he got in a fight outside a strip club while ordering a kebab.

He was banned for 10 matches over the indiscretion and at the time, during a heartfelt apology, said his actions were “very out of line of me and something I would never do again”.

Mrs Cotch isn’t a player
Her fine was also suspended and only activated when Stack and CCJ ****ed up knowing what the cost would of been for the club

Also look how the two players have responded to the situation
One is busting their ass trying to make things right
The other hasn’t learnt a thing

BREAKING- Sydney Stack will spend Christmas and New Year in isolation at Hakea prison after his quarantine was restarted yesterday.
fair enough

Many of them are rubbish at football.

Richmond essentially skipped the trade and draft periods.

Lost a lot of stack like options. Markov. Higgins. Etc.

Would be a massive blow to the playing list to lose stack
No it wouldn't, it would remove a constant distraction that has consistently been in trouble since the start of 2020.

Rubbish. If he were so easy to replace , he wouldn't play 17 games in a flag season
Jake Aarts played 14 games this year & Mabior Chol played 11 games this year, I guess that makes both of them hard to replace too.

Idk mate, we should piss off Martin for hanging out with gansters too often. (?)

Enough is enough.
.we can't change the rules just cause someone is more talented at football
Which gangsters is Martin constantly hanging out with?

Cost people jobs? Bloody hell I heard Sydney stack shot JFK too

Dusty has a colorful history and his latest actions are borderline breaking association laws but you look the other way cause you like him
Due to the $100k fine we had to let people in the football department go as we could no longer afford to keep them without going over the soft cap and incurring a penalty.

Stack is very much the same as Connors, a talented kid who keeps making stupid decisions and finding himself in trouble because he can't control himself when away from the club or when alcohol is involved. Much like Connors Stack has been given multiple chances and keeps throwing it back in the clubs face by making the wrong decisions time and again. As I said this morning I would like to see the club either bring Stack back to Melbourne or have a Zoom meeting with him and his manager and put it to him bluntly, these are the conditions for keeping your career and if you don't agree/can't stick to them then see you later.

As for the comparisons with Martins indiscretions, the main one was the chopstick incident and a police/AFL investigation found that he did nothing wrong, he had other issues early on that involved Connors and when it was put to Martin that he was in danger of throwing away his career, he knuckled down and became one of the games present day greats. He has dedicated himself to getting the most out of his career and shows up year after year in better shape than the year before. Stack isn't doing that, he is showing up in poor condition and as a result struggles to keep up with guys in the rehab group. That's not dedicating himself to being the best possible footballer. I suggested last week that his poor conditioning could be that he is a poor trainer when left to train on his own, but the more and more information that comes out the more and more it appears that Stack is all about the good times and not the hard work and sacrifices that are required to have a long and successful career.

Probably the best punishment that we could have asked for, if we're not going to sack him. By the time he's due to get out he'll need to come back to start training again, so he can't get into any more trouble. Hopefully it's also a massive wake up call to spend so much time locked up, if this doesn't straighten him up then nothing will.

Kid needs to get back to Melbourne and get his shit together. He really should be having a nice long chat with Marlion about what happens when you consistently **** up your chances.

He really needs a chaperone because its off field where he ****s up. But he's also an adult and needs to start acting like one. It's just so disappointing how many young men can't make the most of their chances.

Richmond player Sydney Stack's manager says the 20-year-old is "very distressed" about spending Christmas behind bars after allegedly breaching COVID-19 rules for a second time upon returning to Perth.
The Tiger was granted an exemption to enter Western Australia from Melbourne via a connecting flight through Adelaide on December 10 to attend his grandfather's funeral.

The brief stopover in Adelaide, where Stack said he did not leave the airport, triggered a requirement the rising star complete 14 days self-quarantine.
Police allege he instead left his approved self-isolation residence in Northam, the country town where he grew up, and stayed at an address in the southern Perth suburb of Belmont.

Thanks for posting.

I notice here that being locked up over Christmas is not his punishment for the breach, but rather the matter's been adjourned with Stack to face trial on January 6.

He's not out of the legal woods yet.

Saying stack's covd breaches cost 50k isn't accurate. Cotchins were the first RFC people to muck up. The club copped the full fine after the second offence. the club tried to put it on the players but AFLPA vetoed it. I haven't heard much from CCJ on the track. No news is good news

I'm worried about his mental health.
Two weeks in an isolation cell is utter bullshit.
There is zero chance he has the virus, this is ridiculous .
They are the rules, they are the same ones that would apply to anyone else in the same situation

He should of just gotten over himself and stayed with his grandmothers place like he was meant to and he wouldn’t be in this situation it’s as simple as that
