Why don’t they just get it over with today?
Geez they drag some of these minor things out, a few weeks in jail is more than enough to cover any offence he has committed, sentence him to time served and let him get on with his life.

suspect that’s what will happen but he’ll have to go back to court to have it sorted out. Could drag on for months

It might also be the best thing for him in the long run a BIG wake up call.

bad news. I was told he had strike 3, inside. and was transferred to Christmas Island. Where strike 4 & 5 happened ~ a fight & is now on Manus Island. waiting for Duttton to send him to Afghanistan cos he doesn't pass the character test.

He should wear a long hair wig and and change his name to Sidney Stack and he'll get a visa back to work for the Dutton's in their Child Care centres - they love cheap labour!

Last I checked this country believed in rehabilitation. Seems little point in locking up a young man for a disproportionate period of months on end.

Anyway, we will know more this arvo I guess.

It’s more likely he’ll get a suspended sentence, they’ll hang him.

Syd is stupid, or at least immature and not smart enough to control his own situation to his advantage. But he also seems to be a magnet for trouble he didn't start. I've known guys a bit like that and the penny dropped when they were 25+. Then suddenly they go to uni, get a degree and build a successful life. Hope Sydney's penny drops and he gets on the right path soon. cause he might just lose his chance at the AFL if this keeps up.

How can they do it today? Is Sydney special or something?
His jail period was quarantine
A magistrate has to set a date for him to answer the charge.
 
So we all know the Dimma "sex scandal" is just a smokescreen to divert attention from Stack's dilemma yeah?

It’s more of a criticism of the court system, a pissy charge like this can be dealt with in the same time a bail hearing takes.

Time served, a fine and a “wake up to yourself young fella” from the magistrate and it’s all dealt with.

Just heard a legal expert comment.

He has no issue with her going to high security. She's openly taken on the authorities over covid, refused testing, refused quarantine, posted on social media she will bust out and ignored authorities, then lied on her bail address, and only handed herself in when her duty solicitor (same solicitor that handled Stack) contacted her about the wrong address.

As he said, on the surface it sounds harsh, but if everyone took a similar approach covid could be rife in the state.

Just to be clear, this is regarding the lady that was out on bail after pleading not guilty. This is her lawyer talking about it?
