What's this got to do with Stack and his second covid breach?
Stack being indigenous may have contributed to his incarceration. You may not agree, some here have argued it might have. The article does highlight a difference in how indigenous kids are treated in WA by the police, and how the law in WA can be quite punitive to indigenous people in general.

Will Chairman Dan let him in?
Do you need an exemption to get into Victoria now?

What’s going on with training? I thought we returned last week.. it was for only 1 session?
Dusty won the trial so club said “pack it in fellas, we’ve seen enough, come back for round 1”

Stack was pulled up for fighting when drunk at 1am, the cops told him to "move on" very racist, then when they discovered he was in breach of 2G2 he was detained.

How is that link related?

Someone's being racist in my opinion.

I haven't suggested the police were acting in a racist manner, just that doing jail time seems excessive. WA justice system, with 40% indigenous suggests that perhaps it is, although I realise without going into it that is a broad statement.

Excessive if it only applied to Stack, which it wasn't.

Many others ( like Stack) were given mandatory quarantine in the low security section of Hakea, and others were given the option of "free" quarantine in Hakea or government quarantine run hotel for around 2k at their own expense.

I know what I'd chose, and going by current rumblings by some tennis players, i bet they'd chose Hakea over the hotels they are in . At least the food is better and more importantly they get 2 hours of fresh air and exercise everyday compared to no fresh air, not even 5 minutes a day.

Still think jail time is excessive for all but the blatant and dangerous offenders. Stack's breach was on the very minor scale, stop over in Adelaide where a few hours later the border opened anyway. Seems a broad brush was applied, which from my knowledge, no other state had applied. 19 days in jail seem overs to me.

And in Vic you even get let off the fine. No jail time, no fine, no nuthin. Even when you wander around the state carrying the disease, lying about where you've been, babysitting each others kids...and INFECTING people.
Nuthin.
But hey, lets jail a kid whose plane touched down in Adelaide for a short time. Not carrying the virus, no one in danger of being infected etc. Who also happens to be prone to dumb choices with a poor support network.

Yep, but some of these posters have made their prophecy - have reached the most damning of suppositions - mellowing out is a difficult thing to do for some

When are you and others going to get your facts right. Stack was never sentenced to jail, he was ordered to restart his his quarantine.
As he had already on his previous return to WA broken quarantine he was deemed to be untrustworthy and thus confined. This was his second Covid breach in WA. He was given a warning for the first breach. He blatantly broke the terms of his permit that he signed his name to and was out in public. It doesn't matter that he was only in Adelaide for a short time. He accepted the permit on those terms. Stop the unjust calls and tell it as it is, he's a repeat offender with no regard for the rules or anyone other than himself. There is no racism envolved here. Just stupity on stacks behalf.

Your are trying to defend the indefensible. He broke the law in WA not Victoria and even if in Victoria you get a slap on the wrist, bad luck. I'm glad he was not allowed to get away with his breach when he'd previously been warned. I have 2 friends who are still suffering from the effects left by Covid and even if you think his breach is trivial, I don't.

Now after all this I must say that I hope he gets his act together, shows a little regard for others and makes a success of himself. I do have doubts that he has the attitude and dedication

I think all us know he broke the rules, but would he have in any other state gone to jail for 19 days. No. Overly harsh is all I have said all along.

Cannot find sevidence of A WA "breach" in October that some have spoken of on occasion throughout the thread. I believe that this is heresay

Update

Pleased guilty to one count of failing to comply with a direction - sentencing to occur March 25th

Looked as well, nothing recorded that I could find. Adds or supports the negative narrative I suppose......

According to the WA newpaper in December:

According the ABC in December:

So he was in jail after being charged with an offence and remanded without bail AND was required to serve a new 14 day isolation order. He has not had his charges heard (today probably) but was being remanded in jail until at the Supreme Court heard Stack's Lawyers and the DPP had reached an agreement and granted bail. He'll undoubtedly plead guilty and any lawyer worth their salt will plead some mitigating circumstances.

Bit of a cut and paste (long list of folk) - interestingly they have him listed as (via Video Link). Hopefully they sorted that out since he was bailed.
