I dont care for AFLW. I dont watch the VFL either and its only value to me is a prep ground for the senior AFL team. But in 2021 and the political landscape, there's no way in hell a club could get away with scrapping the AFLW to keep the VFL men's. I just think it would be an "offended" shitstorm even though it wouldn't bother me at all. I want a successful AFL team, I dont care for the VFL men or AFLW beyond what they do to either help or hinder that.

Not really. Peos not doing his job if he doesn't try and limit Stack's financial culpability. Stack will be held responsible, it will be question of realisable punishment

i"m pretty sure this is correct, if your at a job and make a big stuff up that costs thousands, you are not liable to pay for it.
And the company cannot force you to.
I'm no lawyer. someone will chip in.

I think the problem is the soft cap, VFL coaches etc. probably are included in that but the AFLW is separate.

A successful VFL program does help make the AFL team better though.

Vicarious Liability would usually stop if you were found to be in breach of your workplace rules. For example if I broke the personal trading rules at my work and was found to have insider traded then the company would be fine.

We might partner our reserves with port Melbourne colts for ‘21 if the afl want to play games

I agree but to get a successful AFL team we need a talent pool THAT PLAYES THE RICHMOND WAY--this is super important.

AFLW has to go before our reserves.
AFL needs to step up and temporary disband the AFLW league or pay for it out of its own pocket.

well there gonna miss 10 games that reduces the wage already severely so paying 37 k these guys would prbly struggle with . If it were me I would offer to pay it back over 2-3 years , I think the club would be at least happy they offered , and I think internally the club would pay the fine and they would make them pay a contribution of a much lesser amount say 5-10 k each

The Club won't take civil action - that's being silly.

As for the rest, perhaps, perhaps, perhaps! And then wrap all that up with Duty of Care. Benny has already said they need to wrap their arms around these guys and help them through it. What that actually looks like will be different for each person - there is no one size fits all!

Those 2 are a bunch of farkwits, what did they think was going to happen when they got caught breaking the rules.
If they have a issue with the fine take it up with the AFL they imposed it!
I'm just lost for words how stupid they truly are. To break the rules and expect someone else to bail you out is a cop out.
Now that I have slept on it, I say to Stack and CCJ you did the crime so you both have to pay up.
Why should the club pay for their indiscretion it's already bad enough that they have been embarrassed by the Cotchins, Vlas and now these 2 dimwits. FFS

Players are free to leave the hub now for shopping and food

They aren’t in a prison with armed guards patrolling
 
I wonder what the club will do to stop a 3rd incident? People talk about premiership points but i am terrified of the possibility of losing draft picks..Not to mention another incident could cost is a flag this year..
Personally would put our hub into lockdown for rest of season though i doubt the club will do that?

This is the usual tripe fyom you. Do you really reckon wed sue our own players or even contemplate it. Contracts wont be torn up either.

And that is why you may not be on the WC Board of Directors :D It may be really lovely to live black and white (and I don't mean as a Magpie or on racial grounds) but life isn't really like that. Sometimes the lesser able are looked after by the more able.
 
Hmmm i live about 10 mins walk from frankston footy ground and they are currently installing light towers...
We should align with frankston , night games in frankston in July , whats not to love?

The players are well aware of where they can go and where they can't.
They knew what they were doing was wrong.
They have specific places where they are allowed to visit, eg: cafe near the hub, beach etc. Strippers isn't on the list and I can tell you
direct from a players mouth that they knew the rules.
