I'm sure I heard a reporter ask Dan Andrews in his presser this morning about Eddie McGuire going to a nightclub up on the Gold Coast... Strip premiership points if true, surely?!

It's only an issue of you get assaulted while sitting down minding your own business afterwards?
But in all seriousness, are the posse of media, family and other hangers on, flown up and quarantined in the AFL hub, not under the same conditions as the rest of the players up there? I'm staggered Eddie can lambast the thoughtless, selfish players one week, then hit the nightclubs with his son the next and defend himself as not having broken any rules the next!

Harley went to a friends house apparently, therefore the penalty gets treated same as the Port boys. Not sure why they're not paying 100k with two Covid breaches though.

they were in a fight and it was outside the protocols. the press always blow things up but they deserve a severe sanction for stupidity and selfishness in that it could have derailed our flag prospects.
im not against the punishment, I’m unhappy with the AFLs inconsistency.
The Dees have been given a far more lenient sanction based on two dodgy factors, one they don’t count the first sanction cos it happened in Melbourne and therefore a smaller fine and the games suspension is purely because of the media outrage for one incident vs the other.
Bennell was every bit as dumb, maybe even dumber if his decision was made sober (seems to be confusion over what exactly happened).

not in most cases, but given the previous covid breaches and upping of punishments with each subsequent breach, I thought maybe they’d get this one right.

Yea it’s pretty well right , was smack bang in the sweet spot of shattering the pc world , so for a progressive org , we we re caught between a rock and a hard place defending it , we were cornholed good and proper

All I want to know about stack and ccj is how they go at pre-season. They're young lads they shouldn't have to hang their heads in despair like charlie brown all summer. If they want it they'll come back in great shape and train the house down
