Club sources have confirmed that the players were out of their hub and while the AFL is investigating the detail and has not yet commented, the league's stance - and the sensitive political situation surrounding the relocation of the competition to Queensland - means the AFL and Richmond seem certain to take a strong stance.
Richmond held a social get-together on Thursday night inside their hub on the Gold Coast, KDV Sport, with drinks to celebrate the birthdays of Jack Ross, who turned 20 on Thursday, and Ben Miller, who turned 21 on Monday.

After the function Stack and Coleman-Jones decided to leave the hub and sources said the pair had travelled to the nightclub strip in an Uber, a clear breach of AFL protocols.

This is a problem when a few drinks may skew the decision making process if the warnings are not mentioned.

Okay to celebrate birthdays and have a drink but club needs to be aware of the risks and try to pre-empt/mitigate pear shaped situations

Both Toms in the media will be rubbing one out over this and being the Richmond haters they are, will blow this up to gigantic proportions.

Media put us down for weeks when Benny announced the 3-0-75 initiative.

We have always been their grand final.

can’t ****ing stand Tom Morris Shemons supporting flog

That premier is a heartless b*tch. Only wants to win the election and nothing more. What she says is a load of sh*t

A politician that only cares about winning elections ...

... WHAT?!?

SEN Going nuts are the moment .... calls to strip Tigers of points and sending them home ..Kicking us out of the finals ..... Maher and Bob rubbing their hands together.... ... these 2 player’s are going to pay big time

https://7news.com.au/sport/afl/cctv...-club-c-1292148.amp?__twitter_impression=true here is slightly better footage appears the other guy approaches and just starts swinging punches at ccj, stack then jumps in,hard to see alot though.

We know they did wrong but happy stack flew the flag for CCJ, sharp right from stack in retaliation and hopefully a combination to that scumbag guy who started it when they moved away from the camera. Dickhead guy comes back at CCJ who didn't want to have a bar of it but glad stack again pushes him away.

Mentions 2 people arrested, guessing both tiger boys but that footage shows the aggressor was the other guy, was he arrested? surely this gets dropped by the police, you are allowed to defend yourself whilst being attacked.

No chance they lose points. Port boys got suspended. Swans guy got suspended. If a 3rd strike is made by the club then the AFL can enforce harsher penalties.

I'd say this dickhead has had a go at them in the club, they've been kicked out then the flog has come back for more.
But they're in big trouble regardless of the fight.
True, despite the relative innocence of the situation compared to the speculation, as soon as the narrative comes to the idea that their actions have threatened the continuation of the season, there has to be major repercussions. Suspensions, fines almost certain, and docking of premiership points a very real possibility. It is the accumulative effect from all the other breaches including those from other clubs.

I think Sidlebottom was pre Hub, but yes would reek of hypocrisy.
Nope he got 4 weeks then Buckley and the assistant coach both got fines

.

I think it’s a bit unfair to attack the Qld Premier for her response ... she has done a lot to help the AFL complete the season

Our players should be a lot smarter than they showed in their actions here

afl will use it as an example now and send them home because the premier has tweeted lol

if she didnt tweet they'd be allowed to stay in the hub
Reckon she should’ve cleaned up that shithole area then there wouldn’t be dickheads trying to king hit guys innocently getting kebabs.

Oppos full of shit, will do anything to stop Richmond even sell their wives.

Not sure what the Queensland premier is getting her nickers in a Natsy over . They haven’t breached any state rules . There are a multitude of Queenslanders doing the same every minute and they’ve quarantined as per state rules. what about the well know fat trouble maker or the 3 lubber lipped hookers who robbed their way back home after attending the sex party in Melbourne .
