Caro just said that our VFL program is now dead. Was on the brink before but now its certain.
Doubt it. And if it was it would only be for 2021. Club would be back on its feet pretty quickly, too many members would give support.

It goes 2 ways from here. They go on to be repeated dicks and the club ditches them and someone else picks them up for peanuts and we lose regardless.

Or, they do a Steve Johnson turnaround, work their asses off over the preseason and earn back the respect of the club and reward the faith.

If CCJ feels this is too much, he might just ask for that mooted trade. Stack is probably a little more desperate for options.
Possibly , a lot of thinking to do . Bare in mind coll kept 2 players on list after positive prohibited sample for 2 seasons suspension and WC have kept Rioli on, so no need to be trigger happy

Yeah its hard to comprehend.
As someone said if we can't do it then no one else can.

It says outside. Doesnt necessarily mean they went in. Not much detail yet.
the media reports said they were evicted from the club, having said that, I don't think they were responsible for the fight. I don't know what dialogue took place but it looked like a "Ben Stokes" type "cowards punch" situation with the guy just lashing out at them.
BTW, can't understand Dunstall saying that the two shouldn't pay the fine because they aren't high earners, they knew the rules so let them pay, maybe not in one hit, but pay they must.

Stack's manager was on radio this morning and disagrees.

Ok right.
Still don't see how the club can ask for the players to pay for a "Corporate" fine.
A 10 game suspension already reduces their earning capacity.

It can ask anything it likes. It can ask you pay the fine too. Ask and demand are two entirely different things though. Expectations are something different again.

It sounded like there was more an expectation for the Cotchin's to contribute to the fine. That the Cotchin's did creates another set of expectations, intended or otherwise. Perhaps there was even a player consensus - unless clearly explained - we are guessing. To be honest I haven't followed the nuances of the stories as closely as you may have and certainly not as closely as the journalist claim to have.

Your comment about the '10 game suspension is already fine enough' is fair I suppose, and perhaps that is how it was even constructed in the first place - we don't yet know do we? But they are massively complicit and mutually at fault. They risked halting the entire season for the Club or the even the League if you think 'thin edge of the wedge'. They will be very fortunate if it all turns out to have no impact on anything other than themselves. That won't make them feel much better right now, but this could be or get even worse.
