You can't keep people on the list just because they are good blokes.

Of course not but you can’t give someone a million chances who keeps ****ing up and embarrassing you because he has some talent. He’s been given multiple chances and hasn’t learnt piss him off

• Was only allowed in (due to being in SA at the time) on compassionate grounds
• Was ordered to self-quarantine for 14 days due to coming from SA, he arrived on Thursday
• Nominated an address in Northam for his quarantine location
• Was found to be staying at a property in Belmont
• Was caught partying in Northbridge
• Arrested, charged and refused bail

He's in serious shit

Not sure how you come to this conclusion. He's pretty much a certainty to be sacked over this.

He cost the club 100k and effectively cost a staff member (or 2) their jobs next year due to the soft cap implications. Now he goes and shows that he hasn't learnt a thing by doing the very same thing he was initially punished for.

He may be one of the most talented kids we have, but I'll be absolutely gobsmacked if we don't show him the door as soon as this process plays out.

Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice...

If he is sacked over this we may as well never take a kid from a troubled indigenous back ground ever again. This is an issue beyond footy which no one is prepared to talk about and while not all indigenous players struggle with the expectations of being an AFL footballer, many of them do.

Stacks crime is leaving the two spots he was supposed to be, which it may be easy for some to be confined in the one spot but for someone like Stack who most likely spent most of his nights away from home and roaming around his neighbourhood, its a lot harder for him to adjust to such confinement.

Stengle, Bennell, Stack

Indigenous Australians who have come from broken homes. They've struggled significantly to recover from the systematic racism that their great grandparents would have faced.

Maybe he can plead Aboriginal disadvantage like Codey Herrmann. We are talking about minimum standards here.

as far as I know a club can''t summarily sack a player. the player stays on the list until the contract expires. A player has to quit by their own choice to free up a list spot & salary. Ben Graham and even Yarran's departure were partly on our payroll
tho Ben Graham also punted in the NFL, of course you meant Griffo...

I agree he's had multiple chances but what is in the best interests of the club?
We got him for nothing, and we only pay him minimum wage, but if he turns it around the upside is massive.
When he's 22 to 23 he will a great player to have in your team .
The problem is balancing that with the way he is embarrassing the club and the perceived special trearment he is getting.
But also if we de-list him it might reflect badly on the club for abandaning him.
It's a can of worms.

We gave him a chance when no one else would we have so far put up with him not coming back in shape egg also did the same and was delisted

Has a drinking problem and cost staff jobs

Now this we have gone above and beyond for this kid

not all the 100k is on Stack. Cotchins were the first 30k & CJ caused 35k. Still Stacks part in COVID breaches led to job losses.

I feel incredibly sad for a young man who, while seemingly has the world at his feet potential wise, is struggling big time with his own inner demons, heartaches, and losses. I sincerely hope this is not the final straw and that Sydney will be able to find a way to gain the courage needed to live life rather than try to anesthetise the pain.

Toxicity comes in all sorts of packages and is not exclusive to only outside influences. When we look at things only from a fan perspective it's very easy to take the high road of self-righteous judgement, so if we can take a step back, breathe, and recognise that none of the behaviour exhibited by Sydney is a personal attack on us or the club. Perhaps we can then focus instead on sending some positive energy around expecting the best possible outcome for Sydney, instead of the massive dump of toxic energy that has been aimed his way for months and months.

Just a shame. How can he look at someone like Shai who has been a model citizen and is on the verge of a big contract then still do this shit?

There's strong support there and he's not learning. Tells me he's years off being mature enough to be a professional footballer. Will be shocked if he gets a 3rd chance.

Just wondering. Does everyone coming from interstate need to quarantine when arriving in WA? I understand those from NSW would need to quarantine but say Victoria? Seems like WA is run like a fortress.

Victoria is currently very low risk - no quarantine.

SA is low risk - sef-quarantine required.

NSW is medium risk - border is closed.

That’s the first time I’ve heard about egg coming back out of shape?
