At the end of the day we’ve won three flags without him so I’m really not fazed if we end up moving him on.

By all means he could be the cherry on top with our list but so many factors have to align perfectly for this to happen.

I’ll happily like to be proven wrong but I’m putting him in the [PLAYERCARD]Troy Taylor[/PLAYERCARD] category. Immense talent but we won’t see it for a sustained period under a fully professional environment.

Did he assault someone? rape someone? kill someone? steal a car? abduct a child? No he went to a party having arrived from SA 8 days earlier who have had 1 case in the past 20 days. Some perspective is needed.

Now, you can't dress up the last act as "going to a party" (going to a party is NOT against the law).
what he did was breaking quarantine laws, now you can argue on that point as you wish but you can't turn breaking quarantine laws into just going to a party.

Just wondering. Does everyone coming from interstate need to quarantine when arriving in WA? I understand those from NSW would need to quarantine but say Victoria? Seems like WA is run like a fortress.

i travelled to WA last week from Melbourne. Must apply for a G2G pass in advance of travel. I did not need to quarantine, but was formally informed that if the situation changed in Victoria after my arrival, that I would be required to enter 14 day quarantine if requested. This has now been applied to recent NSW arrivals into the state. SA residents are still required to do 14 days quarantine due to the Woodville Pizza cluster.

The only serious crime he will have committed in this case would be lying to the club. But for all we know his sister could be causing trouble.

Asking a 20 year old aboriginal with a poor up bringing to conform to white mans society rules and expectations.

See the above.

If Stack has a 10-15 year career and these are his only indiscretions than considering where he has come from that would be a massive achievement.

why you playing the poor me aboriginal card? and before you tossers start on me I am not racist. I am pissed of that he cant do what he is asked by the greatest club in the land. cee you mate.

He’s proving a 10-15 year career is beyond him. He’s broke very serious covid protocols twice.

I get he’s had a hard life. But he’s an adult. He’s making his choices and he’s about to get a very harsh life lesson about the consequences of your decisions

My view.

We won’t sack him, because I don’t think the kebab incident was his final chance. This will be his final chance though, if this isn’t the turning point then it won’t ever come (at least with RFC).

I’m looking through the lens of... we’ve taken him on, there’s obviously been a level of acknowledgement that he will mess up, there’s a commitment we’ve made to give him a shot and give him structure.

For some split moments my thoughts are that I’d have no hesitation to **** him off, I think he’s an arrogant ****ing w***er and a complete dickhead. Then again, my more stronger view is that we’ve made a commitment to persist with him and get him on the right track.

Then again, you’d imagine that other players would be rightly pissed off with him, we let go blokes like Oleg (by all accounts an excellent clubman), and then Fraser Turner and Luke English, and have kept Stack.

I don’t think he earned the respect back from his teammates even before this most recent incident, and it’s going to be incredibly tough for him to get it back.

Pretty sure he flew in on Thursday.

If he was on his last chance after the kebab thing, this puts him way over the line.

Worse again if he has lied about his reasons for travelling to WA (to be confirmed). It would show a degree of planning and isn't just a bad decision made on the spur of the moment.

I'm hurting. Really wanted and believed he could get back to where he was.
I must be out of the loop on this part? Can you fill me in?

Yes mate, this whole covid thing is racist and discriminatory. The “white man” is all about supremacy on this. It’s not about saving lives or ensuring people can live a life. Maybe these rules should only apply to us “gubbas”?

Completely missing the point. Aboriginal people have trouble adapting to western society while in Stacks case Covid is basically magnifying that 100x. Asking someone who barely knows what a home is, to be confined to that one spot for 14 days with zero positive influences around him. Im not necessarily excusing Stacks behaviour but I understand it, which if you can't put yourself in his shoes then it easy to say why can't you sit at home for 14 days or maintain your fitness over the off season or not sink too much piss.

He should have a chat to Marlion about how you handle it

That’s not the point
His inability to follow simple instructions and rules has become a regular issue and we have only found out about the times he’s been caught

stop trivializing COVID breaches!

1 leak from hotel quarantine in Vic directly killed nearly 1000 people, indirectly caused probably as-many domestic violence situations and self-harms, and destroyed probably 10s of 1000s of livelihoods.

Stack could have brought this on in WA, that is why he is in jail.

He's done the wrong thing but there is zero virus in the states he's been in.
He won't be getting a jail sentence either.
Let's just hope that this blows over during the Christmas break and he comes back fit in January.
On the positive side he drinks alcohol and is not on the gear.
He's got mental health issues and that's the card his manager should be playing imo.

Don’t disagree with most of what you’ve said here. So what do you think is the solution? We just keep him at the club no matter what indiscretions (being kicked out of QLD and now in jail after committing a crime)? Where do we draw the line?

Serious. Please. McGawon is a nazi while he only broke AFL protocols the first time around. I could accept this upheaval if he come from the Northern beaches of Sydney but what he has done is very minor.

He is 20 years old. Remind me where Pickett was at the same age. Thats right trying to stay in jail as that was easier for him. If the club can't help him get through this period we may as well never take another chance of a speculative character again.

Get him back to Vic and keep him here for starters. The last thing he needs is to be left on his own.

Ideally someone would be able to take him in and over time he would mature enough to be left on his own.

With all due respect these posts should be moved to its own thread because Coleman-Jones has nothing to do with this most recent incident.

It’s only fair to CCJ to do so.
Maybe CCJ should have talked Sydney out of going to the strippers in the first place knowing that Sydney obviously has issues.

Wow, you are a total pushover! And before you accuse people of trying to protect lives as ‘nazis’ you might want to do some research on how the nazis valued human lives.

Still waiting for you to tell us what you think the club should do btw.

He was here at the club and he decided to leave. We aren’t his guardians. We can’t make him stay.
