Ill give my 2 cents as a paid up long time member of the club.
Sydney is a man that has all the talents in the world. He has to capability to be one of the best- seriously. He is also someone who has had his fair share of struggles and challenges. He has made mistakes, some small some large, just like the rest of us. The problem is that he has not learnt from them. I believe that how a man recovers from mistakes and adversity is how they should be judged. I have heard many things about Sydney's behaviour and indescretions. Unfortuantley this is the last straw for me. The club has done everything and beyond for this young man but it seems that he simply can/does not have the temprement to be a PROFESSIONAL footballer. We gave him the chance of his lifetime when we picked him up. We gave him the most supportive environment and we gave him the full backing of the tiger army. We gave him encouragment( ive heard we activated a bonus in his contract even though he didnt deserve it AT ALL). We gave him patience and chances second, third, fouth and many more. From training to dealing with his cocky egotistical attitude, tokebabgate where we faced finacial sanctions and staff cuts. He has recieved more than his fair share of chances to prove that he can be a professional, and most importantly a Richmond Man. He has now ended up in a situation where he spends tongiht behind bars! and faces a strict WA court. I wont even go down the path of his lies and deciet of so many who have invested in him, or even the dangers of COVID and what his actions could possibly have led to. This is the end of the road for me Stacky. I, like the 100k other members want the very very best for you. But it seems that this cannot go on any longer. I relunctantly call for [PLAYERCARD]Sydney Stack[/PLAYERCARD] to be sacked from the club upon the courts decision of the consequence.

To those who are defending him, I respect your opinions and I emphatise with you and syd. But lets talk about what is at play here. A egomanic who cant control himself. He put the whole state's health at risk with his downright lies to law enforcment. This was a planned deciet, not a drunk decision off the cuff. If you have a look at his Instagram he was out partying and definatley not self isolating as he shouldve done. There is breaking some rules and regulations, there is being a silly young man. And then there is crossing a line which you should not cross. It doesnt matter who you are, how famous how popular how rich, you cannot get away with putting millions' lives at risk. Weve seen 800+lives lost in Vic. There is no reason it cant happen elsewhere.

Maybe he needs to spend some time in the real world, maybe he needs to spend some time behind bars. Maybe he needs a really harsh wake up call. Maybe he needs some personal support to be with him the whole time. IDK at this stage, but what I think is that considering all things, the best way forward is seperatley for both the club and Sydney

Does WA remind anyone else of the US pre civil rights movement. So let me get this right , Stacky breaks quarantine and is remanded in custody and REFUSED bail . That’s right a situation generally reserved for indictable offences such as rape and murder. Gee I’d love to know if any average joes suffered same fate for same offence
You forgot "for a second time"

If he had any valid excuses he would've presented them to the judge.

The bloke has demonstrated he has no respect for anyone and doesn't understand what remorse is. We've tried our best; time to cut him loose and let him find his own way.

As this is another COVID breach, what are the chances of the club getting a huge fine and/or lose draft picks ??

The penalty system that AFL had in place was part of the AFL's return to play protocol and ended as soon as players from each club left the hub.

Similar thing happened to [PLAYERCARD]Jesse Hogan[/PLAYERCARD] who had a girl over during 14 day quarantine and then got sent to finish his quarantine in a hotel, and he received an 8K fine for it. The Dockers didn't receive any penalty of any sort, and I don't think the AFL even made a public statement of any kind.

My guess is the reason for the magistrates heavy handedness with refusing bail is Stack is a repeat offender. He was previously cautioned about breaching quarantine in October, and there is the very public events that happened in QLD. Magistrate would take that into consideration when deciding on whether to grant bail.

What would you do, grant bail so he can go on his merry way (xmas pun intended) ignoring quarantine rules ??

Syd reckoned he was in Perth to get a COVID test. What are you required to do after getting tested?

Getting up in court and trying to bullshit a judge is the icing on the ****en cake.

At 1-40 in the morning in Nortbridge?

Given its off season I'd hope not. Didn't that idiot from Freo do a covid breach after the season. I don't think they got sanctioned. But he was white so the rules are different.

Gez even if there is some issues and water is murky around this new story why would you put yourself in that situation again. His part cost the club $$$ fines, jobs, and nearly points it says to me doesn't learn or buckle down. Went back home and I didn't like the look of that. Rocked up in poor condition his manager confirmed it then left why not put the extra yards and stay with boys extra week like CCJ did.Was family reasons confirmed for him to be in WA ?.We don't need his distractions get a kid who wants it ! stop making exuses for him.

**** him off as quick as you can - offer the obligatory support - but don't be surprised if it's spat in your face "again". The guy is a talented footballer but a f*#ktard - the "I had an argument with my grandma (who'd just lost her husband) as an excuse (lie?) for leaving the house that he was supposed to be self isolating at to justify leaving the Northam quarantine house line proves that. What campaigner of a man has a fall out with his grandma after just losing her husband then ends up in a fight with other black fellas in Northbridge at 1 am in the morning. Loser be gorn. Richmond are better without him.

Exactly.

The covid issue was inexcusable and the entire club was put in jeopardy.
So how the hell hasn't he learnt from that?

What would the coach, captain and senior even junior players be thinking?

The clubs not a creche for troubled souls, its a professional sporting body accountable to big paying sponsors and 100k paid up members.

Far as I'm concerned he should be desisted now.

Couldn't say it better has little regard for the club and players after his part cost us big time and people's livehood jobs with this story from what I see.

Like I said get a kid who wants it.Yeah Stack got talent , but way to much baggage so early on his career we're is the sign he wants it or learned.
