He looks like a sh.t talker who thinks he’s a rock star.
You cant simply put this down to a dumb choice or being reckless its the way the kids built if you take a look back at him being suspended from junior stuff (more than once) with this in mind its just a pattern of him acting like rules arent something that even register.
Breaking qurantine the first time, getting into a punching match (how many times?), cheating on Conti (if true) these are things you decide your not going to do before you get to the moment.
Standing infront of a magistrate and telling him he needs to consider that his career is on the line???
It shows he doesnt get it.
I hope the club stands him down without pay for the year, makes support available to him but leaves it up to him.

My biggest disappointment is hes a complete waste of a spot , not that I agree it’s a hanging offence however it underlines where he’s at and it’s miles off the professional std required to be an AFL player and further why he was neglected at draft time. It’s sad and gives us no pleasure , I’d much rather see images of him heaving at training but when we got qty kids busting their gut to get on our list and I’d love all of them and we got stack shitting in his own nest , that’s overwhelmingly disappointing

What a waste

As this is another COVID breach, what are the chances of the club getting a huge fine and/or lose draft picks ??
It wasn’t an AFl breach , he was a WA civilian entering the state of his own volition not playing and living in a HUB , there’s a difference

I'd actually prefer Richmond not take the reactionary path and sack him. Yeh, he's done something dumb, but lets put it in context. He's a 20yo guy who went out when he wasn't meant to.

I'd understand if they sack him, but I think being in the structure we provide would be the best thing for him, and lets be honest, his ceiling as a footballer is very very high. I'm sure those within the club will have a clear idea on whether his character means he's worth persevering with. Hopefully it is.

happy to sack him, he has broken our trust x 2 but my main concern is if we can get another player in his spot on the list.

No he has been given special exemption to enter the state and to quarantine so not to put others at risk in case he does have covid due to his SA stay
He has ignored this and not stayed at hos allocated address and was found to be at a party mixing with people potentially spreading the virus.

He has been found to be untrustworthy and can not be trusted and should be held in custody. 100% agree with that decision and the penlty that follows
Hopefully a long enough stay in custody so he misses out on his new years celebrations which is clearly the most important thing to him.
To Party
According to the Age today, he had a brief stopover in the Adelaide airport only. That's weird that you have to quarantine after not even getting out of the airport. WA are Covid zealots, which has been fine earlier in the pandemic, and fine right now due to the outbreak in Sydney, but when he was in SA there were no cases and haven't been for over 3 weeks.

Bottom line, Richmond has to weight up will this person reoffend during another covid affected season?

If the think so, then what are the impact to the club and playing group?

You may not agree with WA’s handling of it’s border but SS knew the rules & disregarded them

And it's this attitude that saw it take 9 months and how many deaths and ruined lives to get Covid under control in Australia,

The premier over there is a knob, but, he has an obligation to protect his states people and industry. He's doing that. He doesn't have to justify what he does to anyone bar the people of WA. This is on Stack. No one else.

Club needs to get him back to Melbourne and get the proper support around him and try one final time to save him from himself. Its clear that being in WA is no good for him, too easily distracted and led astray.

I know this isn't the popular opinion but this reminds me of my own situation this year. Not going into too much detail but my employer could have easily booted me when I went off the rails mid year, but they stood by me and gave me support and allowed me time to get myself sorted and 3-4 months later I'm thriving again.

So I would like to see us get Stack back here and put it as bluntly as possible to him that he is on his final chance, one more screw up and its the end. That means his training needs to be at the level it was when he first arrived at a minimum. No alcohol no parties no contact with WA mates and if he can't agree to those sort of conditions then say thanks but its over.
