i missed most of it but 3aw said we are looking at terminating his contract
And no one here would be privy to the conditions and discussion Benny and Dimma would have set with him after the Brizzy issue.
Be shocked if he survives this

I haven't tried to justify his actions, rules are rules and I have said that. Just that the rules are very heavy handed. Plenty of people tried to smuggle themselves out during our pandemic, and were fined accordingly, Stack is in jail without bail! Only in WA, where 10 year old kids can end up in juvi for stealing a loaf of bread. Good old 3 strikes policy.
One more strike and he might end up on Christmas island.

But it still doesn’t matter. If that’s what’s required when you go into WA then what you or i think is actually irrelevant.
And what has happened to Stack has nothing to do with race. This is because he breached quarantine. This isn’t situation to play the race card. Indigenous Australians and WA and the justice system is a whole other convo.
But, make no mistake, he’s where he is because he stuffed up.....again.

And i’m not happy about it because the kid is a ****ing gun but is gonna piss his career away. I just wish he would buy into the club and the culture.

As much as I love freedom-loving Australians thumbing there noses at authoritarian state governments (and McGowan's love of the lockdown is particularly troubling), this is the last straw for Stack.

I don’t think you know who Relton Robert’s is, instead you’re just trying to get in with the “cool” posters.

But Relton was more like Stewart Dew now and Stacky looks nothing like that.

Still trying to be ‘cool?’ lol.
Nice egg on your face brother

Unfortunately, players that talented dont just miss the draft for no good reason, he will be more trouble than its worth if we keep him.
If you’re a player and you miss out on getting games while this idiot gets a free ride can break the club

Can Pete Evans put in a good word for him? COVID is a hoax after all

I’m having nightly shots of bleach and spending 50 minutes a day in a solarium.

What an idiot. Will live to regret it but if the first one didn't make him learn who knows. Hopefully he can turn his life around and we see him at another club down the line but suspect he will continue to waste it.

I never mentioned race, just that the rules are overtly strict. Reckon Stack is worth fighting for that's all. It's not like he's a criminal, he's just a young bloke who doesn't follow the rules, plenty of them around. Just the stakes are so high, for Richmond and Stack himself. The kid is an out and out gun.

Compare the sh*t Sydney is up to to this

best 22 players, Nank and Tom Lunch also doing extras, whilst the next great white hope is out boozing and blueing in Northbridge.

You can’t call SS the next great white hope ... that’s racist 😬

Super annoying when you think we had to delist Fraser Turner after showing very good VFL form in year 1 as youngest on the list then didn’t get any game time this year while this ingrate just does his own thing.

Dude needs to be told to come back to Punt Road - day one of 2021 and plead for his career.
Convince the club, coaches and leadership group that he really wants to try and come back from this.

Would need to be a very compelling argument IMO though - and even then, if he succeeds he should have his AFL ban extended to mid year.

Stack would then need to train like a maniac and be a model human for 6 months....

You can tell hes on the outer with the club, none of the other players like his IG posts, and he's rarely with them.

Will be s(t)acked.

Like others I have full confidence in the club to make a good decision. They will surely be in the position to know if he is truly disruptive to the group, and I think this is the main grounds for the decision.

On Stack I will say there are just some people who can’t follow some rules. As a player(much lower level) I could never turn up on time for warmups etc. Ever. It annoyed people, and especially martinet types. But I was not disruptive to the group, and was normally probably better prepared overall than just about anyone else once the ball was in play, certainly better prepared than average.

As a coach/captain/selector/mentor I have always said I don’t care what clothes you wear to training or what else you do, or what rules you do or don’t follow, I just care how switched on you are when the ball is in play. And that you don’t distract others in the group from the job at hand or from their preparation. Of course if you do something completely abhorrent away from the club then the club needs to protect its reputation, but what Stack has done here doesn’t fall into that category for mine.

One thing to ponder amongst other considerations. If it is the last 1/4 of a Grand Final, and the game is on the line, would a fully switched on S Stack be of value? My guess is he would come right into his own in this sort of situation. A player who is capable of great deeds at times like that can be worth his weight in gold. Do you really want to have dumped him because he couldn’t follow COVID rules in December?

These are some of the questions the club will need to answer and they will be in a better position than us to know the right answer. So you expect they get it right.

has had his second and third chances, well done to the club, nobody could accuse Benny of being reactionary or heartless but comes a time when culture overrides third/fourth/fifth chances.

Reckon there’d be plenty on our list that would be sitting back thinking he’s run his race

Club needs to get him back to Melbourne and get the proper support around him and try one final time to save him from himself. Its clear that being in WA is no good for him, too easily distracted and led astray.

I know this isn't the popular opinion but this reminds me of my own situation this year. Not going into too much detail but my employer could have easily booted me when I went off the rails mid year, but they stood by me and gave me support and allowed me time to get myself sorted and 3-4 months later I'm thriving again.

So I would like to see us get Stack back here and put it as bluntly as possible to him that he is on his final chance, one more screw up and its the end. That means his training needs to be at the level it was when he first arrived at a minimum. No alcohol no parties no contact with WA mates and if he can't agree to those sort of conditions then say thanks but its over.
Saved me posting similar thoughts. Agree he should be read the riot act when he gets back to Melbourne and shown the door if he can’t meet the required standards set by the Club. He has the potential to set himself up for life, just needs to avoid bad influence associated mainly in Perth I’d imagine

Trouble is, that's exactly what everyone was saying after the Brisbane 10 game suspension (finishes r5 next year)
