Its only 2 days, or 1.5 if he has a 9 or 10am hearing when he will be released.

when was he arrested late 19th AM on Dec 20th
Dec 20,21, 22, 23, 24, 25, 26, 27, 28, 29, 30, 31
Jan 1, 2, 3,4, 5, 6th. If he ain't out on the Jan 5. He's been in for 18 days.
Then he pays the $220 fine for the charge. And gets a quarantine certificate

I was once in a Theatre Ensemble in Melbourne and one of the skits between scenes had a character being told something abhorrent and asked if he cared - and I've never forgotten the ensuing line - "Care?! CARE?! He can go the Bond University for all I care". I so wish I could have been in front of the audience delivering that one, it always raised the roof - it was back in the late 80's or early 90's of course!

Agree he appears to be set upon, ducked under a swinging punch, got him to ground and took off. The hard thing is knowing what actually took place. Apparently has nothing to answer for on what was filmed -was given a move-on-notice, BUT, that was the start of the bigger troubles it would seem.

So while I agree the vision does him no favours if taken in isolation (no pun intended), the Club will be very interested in his decision process prior to the footage - it could be the footage confirms an attempt to avoid the confrontation, to do his best to remove himself in the face of an aggressor. Plausible but probably unlikely on what we've come to experience. BUT he deserves the chance to explain fully. So again, the layers. The Club will be interest in things the Law has no part to play in, but all may have some mitigating role.

Honestly think it is best not to condemn him or pre-determine his fate, but rather wait and see what he has to say for himself when the opportunity arises on Jan 6th. When you are a known person, and visible, it can draw unnecessary attention - look at what Dusty contended with early on and there was a quite the pile-on there for a while.

I think Peos, his Manager, is going regret not being more hands-on. As someone has said, but for a one hour drop in at Adelaide, the whole narrative could well have been different even with a similar set of events unfolding. Stacky has a lot of time to reflect on that. I think it shows the fragility of cause and effect sometimes and how each of us might have responded differently - even from one another!!!!!

RFC will be better off with this thorn in our side out the door. I don't think the club needs the aggro.

The first thing any young bloke needs to be taught is that you and you alone are responsible for your actions. If you want to de-list him fair enough but there's no need to go overboard.
And I would say we have a duty of care to look after him considering we knew his issues.

We have paid him decent money and resigned him to a better contract. We have given him another chance even though he has transgressed in the hub and could have put our entire season at risk. We gave him another opportunity and again he has transgressed.

We will support him until his contract is finished and help him with what issue's he has but once the contract is finished and we decide that he has no more credits 'IF THATS WHAT RFC DECIDE' then we dont have any more duty of care as we have done whats possible.

Plenty of people have backgrounds and hardships that they have to overcome. It doesn’t give you a free pass to not be responsible for your actions.
Yes, we have a duty of care to some extent but the player has an equal (or even more) responsibility to maintain the expected standards. We are not dealing with a child here.

We know he was out at a pub/club late at night, 100km away from the location he gave authorities. As an AFL player that’s just been sent home from the GC hub for similar reasons, I’d say there’s enough there to have serious concerns about his ability to make the right decisions. The video of the fight only adds colour to an already pretty clear picture.

I agree the club needs to get all the info and there’s no rush to make any call but I think the facts we know already are pretty damning

Sounds like the worst case scenario, legally at least, is he'll pay his fine and any court costs and walk out of there and suddenly be free to do as he pleases within the the confines of the WA state laws. Legal situation over - Club situation begins.

Look, it may come to pass that you are correct, but if you were in Stacky's shoes I would hope they (the Club) give you Mr Tackle Bag (new recruit) the full and complete opportunity to clear your name and your deeds if in fact there were circumstances beyond your reasonable control. Situation equal!

If that is the case I’m sure the aflpa is pushing as equally as hard to secure his position

I don’t think he will remain a Richmond player but the decision should be up to the club and not just because of pressure from the afl

I did read the other day, that the AFL integrity were meeting in regards to Stengle & Stack. I would imagine they will see what the club does, before there is any outside interference.

I was originally in favour of getting rid of him. Upon reflection, I think he may have been let down, a lack of support for someone that hasn't received a lot of support growing up. I not saying he is not accountable but I would like to think Syney is in a better place once he finishes at Richmond than he would be if we cut him loose now. As for any further consequences, if its just the quarantine breach, then 18 days jail over Christmas is more than enough.
