Did he get into a fight or did he step in to help a mate, like he did with CCJ. He wasn't charged with anything to dod with that, so unless you witnessed the fight thing is pretty irrelevant to his 16 day jail term.

of course its irrelevant. 16 days in jail for what is did is disgusting. No quarantine requirements at that stage had he not gone through SA, which is was only in the airport VS someone who snuck into WA, unaccounted for via a truck, evaded police for over 12 hours. Give me a break.

Jenny was not involved in a public brawl

Jenny snuck into WA via a truck that come from Victoria, through how many places?? and was accounted for until police found out she was actually in WA, She then EVADED police and was found at the address of her boyfriends house. Somehow, she was spent less time in prison than Sydney Stack!!

He ended in jail because he was ordered to restart quarantine and as a previous offender (x2) was deemed to be a person who could not be trusted to stay isolated. This has nothing to do with racism and he has got what he deserves.
It's a pity that it happened but Sydney is responsible for his actions in breaking Covid rules to which he signed his name, when granted a permit to enter WA. Like it or not he knew he was breaking the terms of his entry permit and got caught. Tuff luck SS.

I must have misinterpreted what you were saying because I've been saying the same thing all along. 100% agree with you.

Well spoken.

The previous offence you're talking about - was an AFL offence.

Got what he deserves? SIXTEEN DAYS. Spare me.

The Stack thing is so stupid even my wife, who really doesn't care, carries on about it. Go to WA and do something minor and get 16 days in jail. IN Sydney do something similar and get a fine. Now this women gets a slap on the wrist for what looks like about 50 ties more offence.

Syd is stupid, or at least immature and not smart enough to control his own situation to his advantage. But he also seems to be a magnet for trouble he didn't start. I've known guys a bit like that and the penny dropped when they were 25+. Then suddenly they go to uni, get a degree and build a successful life. Hope Sydney's penny drops and he gets on the right path soon. cause he might just lose his chance at the AFL if this keeps up.

Na he also had an formal warning from WA authorities for breaching covid rules when he first exited the hub

So in total 1 afl breach in qld
2 breaches in WA

Sydney was given an official warning previously by the WA state government when he returned and broke Covid rules after the QLD incident. Multiple offender. Also he signed his name to the permit request and 16 days or not he's liable for his action and as I said " tuff luck"

With 4.1% indigenous population in the state and 41% of the states prison population, you might find it hard to argue otherwise. And it is still rising.
So you reckon they are locked up because they are indigenous?, how about they are locked up because they broke the law? ,there’s an old saying do the crime do the time

Sydney Stack back in court over alleged COVID-19 self-quarantine breaches

Richmond footballer Sydney Stack’s agent has revealed how difficult spending the Christmas period in jail has been for his client ahead of him facing court again on Wednesday.

Stack was denied bail in Perth Magistrates Court only days before Christmas for alleged COVID-19 self-quarantine breaches in his home state.

That decision resigned the 20-year-old Tiger to spending multiple weeks behind bars before his January 6 court appearance.

Stack said at that first hearing his AFL career was “on the line”.

Asked how Stack was handling being in prison, Paul Peos, of Inside 50 Player Management, told the Herald Sun: “He’s finding it a very challenging situation.”

Stack initially received special permission to enter Western Australia to attend his late grandfather’s funeral for “cultural healing”.

His alleged breach was discovered when police issued him with a move-on notice for disorderly conduct, after he was involved in a late-night brawl.

Stack nominated a Northam address as his place of quarantine but later relocated to Belmont, about an hour away.

The second-year footballer also received a 10-match suspension for leaving Richmond’s Queensland hub in early September to attend a strip club, before being involved in a fight outside a kebab store.

The WA border was again closed to Victorians as of midnight on New Year’s Eve, and the Tigers confirmed they won’t have a club representative in court to support Stack.

Honestly what's going on 6th ofJanuary should be out becoming a joke.WA record with our indigenous community is pathectic in jail. Then we let serious criminals out on bail or give them a slap on the wrist figure that out. Run by morons mickey mouse can do it better no idea just like the Aussie expats denied and trying to get home to disgraceful.

It is that simple you reckon...

From the Federal Govt. website:
[T]he reasons fall into two main categories. The first category are underlying factors that contribute to higher rates of offending (eg, socio-economic disadvantage, impact of colonisation and dispossession, stolen generations, intergenerational trauma, substance abuse, homelessness and overcrowding, lack of education and physical and mental health issues). The second category is structural bias or discriminatory practices within the justice system itself (ie, the failure to recognise cultural differences and the existence of laws, processes and practices within the justice system that discriminate, either directly or indirectly, against Aboriginal people such as over-policing practices by Western Australia Police, punitive bail conditions imposed by police and inflexible and unreasonable exercises or prosecutorial decisions by police).[3]

Not to mention the Three Strikes policy. Aboriginal Legal Services WA, "Every single day of the week we deal with clients who are dealing with the 'three strike' burglary offences," Collins said. "The ratcheting up of the sentences will be a daily reality for Aboriginal people in Western Australia".... "In some communities he said, it is 'not uncommon' to see juveniles charged with burglary for entering a relative's house through an unlocked door to get food, because they had been left to fend for themselves.'.....

Odd concidering his grandfathers funeral was in September

Do the same crime and you look like a 'nice' white woman compared to a 'bad' black man and see what the difference is. Do the crime and likely you'll get off if you have the right connections or are the right sort of person.
