At the end of the day what is the difference?
He's clearly demonstrated time and time again rules and authority are of minor importance. You just don't wake up one morning and decide to change, it takes serious effort and commitment and he has yet to show he's capable.

I wouldn't be at all surprised if some of Sydney's problems have included others on the cadge.

If so, I would expect the club to stick by Stack.

There's a reason Sydney who was predicted to go as high as 26 was overlooked by "every club including Richmond" every club including Richmond also overlooked him in the rookie draft, and he eventually went in a special new suplimentary category.

For someone with such obvious elete tallent, you can now understand why every club after doing due diligence passed on him.
The script is playing out just as the clubs suspected, but it's ok as he's just a kid, and with the flick of a simple switch is about to change his entire personality and outlook on life

As I said previously, you must have been soooo perfect at age 20! Kids take time to mature, Sydney may take longer than others? But so be it, I want him to succeed, not sure you’re on his side though?

Well he did show he was capable of playing at the level in 2019, I know thats not exactly what you mean but up until now whenever things have gone sideways he’s done it and come back on his own.
Thats whats different. He’s got alotve support now, whether or not he’s capable to allow it and use it time will tell.
But you can change your behaviour, 95% of all afl players have had to, to some extent.
Some person turns theyre life around everyday.
I reckon if someone laid out all the life circumstances this kid would have before hitting 18 and then you or I had to gave him a percentage of making it to afl he’d get pretty close to bugger all chance.
I dunno if he can get his head on right but there wouldve been a hell of alotta kids who wouldnt have made it this far.
People can change their behaviour bit I dunno if he can.
Hope so.

Of course they knew. It was well publicised to the general public that his captains wifes covid breach cost the club 45 thousand dollars, 25 thousand of that was suspended and was then added to the 37.5 thousand each for Stack and CCJ.

Stack didn't even have to pay the fine, we the members did.

another one of those “back in my day” types.
Only defence I am giving him is that he is 20. He is still young enough to turn his career around. Many posters here are acting like they never made a mistake in their life. Much less when they were in their early 20s finding their way.

Didn't say he couldn't turn his career around but reading the crap posted defending him and using his upbringing as an excuse is just bullshit. Just say what is the truth, we hope this irresponsible dickhead can turn it around and show he's got half a brain and hopefully play some decent footy.

Make a tiktok of you microwaving your membership ranting about what Stack has cost the club. Might sway the decision makers.

Its just annoying he didn't have to pay a cent.

Its odds on a 12k plus fine will be handed out by the courts and we the members won't be paying that, he will.

I'm hoping the 3 months of f ups by Sydney with the last one landing him in jail, will be the wake up call. I have woken up and made big life changing decisions about my career, personal life. All self inflicted problems and self generated decisions. Stack doesn't have to give up the ppish or partying, just got to compartmentalise it. He has mad footy skills, just has to work out the rest of it all. That thing called life. We've all seen junior athletes with natural talent who didn't like the structure/discipline that the elite level demands.

You know those numbers as absolute facts? Confirmed it with the Club, or relying on summary estimates of journalists? Serious questions to you. Did the two said players get paid what they would normally have been paid, or was the suspension also a suspension of earnings in that time?

Sometimes these sorts of things get bandied around as fact, simply because a journo (probably reading this right now ), put a few questions out there without straight answers coming back and they drew their own conclusions because they have to hit the Twitter Feed first.........

Do you think the Club has the right to impose it's own fines? - probably does. I'm guessing we were all so intoxicated with the Premiership win (again!), that the cost of a $75k stupid tax didn't seem so important in the bigger scheme of things. You should make it your goal to get a band of brothers together whose memberships equal $75k and negotiate with the Club to not pay it if you feel that strongly about it, which seems likely. That way, your membership wont be affected! Or, like the rest of us, roll your eyes a couple more times and accept that Peggy, Benny and the Financial Director are all over it and there will be balance there somewhere - the correct call can still occur, by them, for the good of a pretty well run Club.

I have it on good authority that the fine was paid out of the AFLs distribution fund. So the AFL paid our fine to itself from themselves.
Us members are in the clear..
