Honestly, I cannot for the life of me understand how someone that has never met the kid can say something about him. You've read Konrad's piece on him? You've got people on this board, on this thread that have met him and speak highly of him.

The troubles he had growing up, don't just go away when you enter an AFL system. You don't cast someone aside my minor hiccups. You've got plenty of people on AFL lists that have done much worse than Sydney Stack.

Who else from the RFC has cost the club $100k on our soft cap (directly impacting our coaching resources), deliberately breached COVID rules multiple times and got in drunken public brawls whilst they were meant to be in isolation? You may think that's minor hiccups I happen to think the opposite.

Ever heard the coaches hammer a Richmond player? Absolutely they'd say he's a good guy. They have to pump him up. Every player on the list is spoken about in glowing terms. It's all hear say. Rose coloured glasses. Still think he's a selfish prick with no regard for others.

Who hurt you mate? Are you ok? You can tell us. This is a safe place.

A lot of misinformed assumptions on here. Sounds like a Trump rally.

The delay in sentencing to March is almost certainly at his legal teams request and in the meantime he is probably very happy to stay in WA.
So you are summising that he no longer wants to play for Richmond, because whilst WA is his homestate, if he still want to play for us, then he'd be pretty keen to get back I'd have thought.

Go and watch the video of the interview with Houli and Prestia and then come back. You are just making assumptions based on personal opinion, at least that is some sort of proof. Did you see the clip before his first game, Hardwick was like a proud dad.

Another players was directly involved in that same situation, that player was getting punched and punched again by a drunk guy, so the devil Sydney Stack stepped in.

Who else breached Covid Rules
Sydney Stack
CCJ
Jessie Hogan
Nathan Buckley
Harley Bennel
2 Port Players

That's off the top of my head.

The iso rules might be perfect for some, but when you don't have stability in where you're staying, actually nevermind I can't get into this again.

He comes across as an immature kid but hey, let’s just write him off
As harsh as the penalty is , you get what you deserve and the law isn’t designed to accomodate for elite athletes , if the RFC terminated his contract effectively immediately I wouldn’t even break stride as I was flossing

Maybe we should open a Pearl Clutchers thread for posters like you and sregit ?

We are living in unprecedented times and the huge consequences Sydney has faced for common misbehavior have been totally unpredictable.

No sane, reasonable person, especially a 20 year old would expect that breaking curfew going out and seeing friends would equal JAIL and no bail. No reasonable person would predict a 100k fine applied to the football Dept for going to a strip club and protecting a friend from being assaulted. Especially when Steele Sidebottom got a ****ing slap on the wrist weeks earlier.

Maybe take the lead from those who know him best and what he's been through and stick by the kid? Have some perspective.

On this, don't forget the captains wife also broke Covid Restrictions. Crazy that people make mistakes.

$45k on Brooke's nails started it. Stack was in the hub for 3 months before the kebab. Oh and did you forget CCJ?

Any info on what his training programme is going to be?
1. Train alone with guidance from the club
2. Do a 6 week boot camp with some local fitness nutcase
3. Train with a local club, ideally WAFL if possible

If its just 1 then I'll be worried about the kind of shape he'll come back in. If its 2 or a combo of 2 & 3 ideally, then I'd be a lot more confident he'll come back in good nick.

It'd be great if the club can help get the right support for him in this area, as if he's just left to his own devices in terms of motivation its got a good chance of going pear shaped.

i knew what the consequences were for RFC if we got another “strike” so I’d hope SS & CCJ did too

Complete shite. The players were told in no uncertain terms what the consequences were for the club on the Gold Coast after the captains wife mis-posted. He knew before going out that he was placing the club at risk of 100k fine.

I can also tell you the penalties for disobeying the WA COVID requirements he signed off on are very clear. WA had jailed people for walking out of hotel quarantine before he decided to take the p155.

Pee weak excuses for a kid that has clearly placed his social life over the health, safety and well being of his club, teammates and general public.

Add Mrs Cotchin to that list ... not a player but the same rules applied

I have been told previously that only indigenous people have been jailed

Can you confirm if this is true or not?

I know of 6 people that have been given jail terms for COVID breaches in WA and only one of those is indigenous

Did you change from 4 to 6 people ... had you initially forgotten about 2 of them?

Do I need to respond to this dribble? Just because I think Stack comes across as a selfish individual and believe he got what he deserves in the way of confinement, it's ridiculous the way you've responded. I thought that this was a site where you could express opinion openly (and it's my opinion) without having to curtail to fools like you.
