Sugar Kane had a leak on the police station fence and Schultz driving indiscretion was the last straw for TAC.

Correct on the tac. Kane I remember because that was around the time a few players went the public slash (Inc Justin Crawford while at a gaming table in Crown)

Pity she waited until the fine blew out to 45k.

It was bad pr. She didn't breach the law as such, but misunderstood the AFL bubble requirements. Her initial play on the technical aspect won her no friends unfortunately. By the time mea culpa was played, it was too late.

Been a while since I was a youngun, senility closer to it.

Thought Ray he might have gotten locked up in a Port Moresby prison or something, much more serious as it turns out.
Manus island? Ahead of his time

Nah was living in the same block of units as Razor in moresby,he could pull the ladies and not local ladies either

No, but I know a few who did. Some great stories.
Ok yeah after independence it got progressively worse till the mid 90s then it improved

I have a 20 year old son so know exactly how they think, and he would not have thought all that much about the responsibilities you mention. And I reckon Stack now has a fair grasp about MacGowan's laws, not that he would have given much thought to them I reckon at the time. We all think we are bulletproof when we are 20, especially for someone like Stack who has lived off his wits for a long time.
The discussion is getting to a good point IMO. Yes, off a football field, stack is quite juvenille. Essentially a street kid with only very basic literacy skills. Exceptional survival skills. Behaviour is akin to 12-13 year old. Without strong guidance and care, similar incidents will happen again.

It is fair comment to say that Stack will be hard work for the RFC. Maybe too hard as he will likely destabilize.
In my opinion, it is unfair to say that he should know better. This is his learning from this point.

This a a poor post. The club we support has the capacity to verify or otherwise a reason for travel. you have effectively called the club you claim to support, dumb as dog faecal

From back in July...
TWO MEN SNORTED COCAINE IN FRONT OF POLICE HAVE PLEADED GUILTY AND SENTENCED WITH A NON-CONVICTION
By Criminal Defence Lawyers Australia on 10/07/2020

By Poppy Morandin & Jimmy Singh.

It would seem reasonable to assume that individuals would know better than to snort cocaine in plain sight and in front of police.
However, 26-year-olds Mitchell Anthony Price and Keegan Brendan Moore seemed none the wiser to this fact as they embarked on a night out at Jerrabomberra Hotel.
Police spotted Price outside of the pub, with what they deemed a “straw like-shaped object” up his nose. The men, who both previously attended the prestigious St Edmunds, were then approached by officers, and told they would be searched for drugs.
During this encounter, Price shoved his hand into his pocket leading to police requesting he remove it. As Price pulled his hand out, a small clear resealable bag containing ‘white powder’ dropped to the floor.
Both men took ownership of the drugs and proceeded to plead guilty, with court records explaining they had decided to ‘split’ a $300 bag of cocaine.
Price, who works as an accountant at PricewaterhouseCoopers, pleaded to the court that a criminal record would hamper his prospects of getting a visa, explaining ambitions to start working in Washington, DC.
Queanbeyan Local Court heard Magistrate Roger Clisdell’s disparaging remarks: “Sometime during the night they … thought it would be a good time to have a little snort,”
He continued to joke with the men, questioning: “Hasn’t anyone told you about bathrooms?”
Mr Clisdell envisaged that snorting cocaine during a pandemic may cause surrounding persons concerns and suspicions as it can “make your nose run”.

He ultimately dismissed the charges and recorded no convictions, calling the men “young and stupid”.

Your point was that being 20 years of age couldn't be used as an excuse for breaking the law and wouldn't hold up in front of a judge. I've proven that's not true.

They didn't get off because they were 20.

They got off because of where they work and who they are

Next excuse for violating covid laws?

Looks like the moral high horse has rode back into town.

Surely that goes to those who want someone to be able to break laws without consequence just because he is a popular footballer

You are genuinely deluded if you think the club shares the opinion of this board, that covid regulations are too hard to understand, stacky is a child, and cultural issues mean he can do whatever the **** he wants for three months.

Have you not wondered why the club has been pretty much silent other than providing him with support?

Never said anything about the club being fine about it. My point is more to the fact that he is still only 20 and has a lot to learn. ( A Point to which the club 100% agrees with)
Plenty on the moral high horse believe he is a grown man and maturity is no excuse.

So what age do you think people can start being charged for breaking the law? 30?

You point is 20 is too young to be held accountable when you break the law. So when is it?
No that was not my point. He broke the law and should treated Justly. My point is aimed at the people that are bleating on about him should knowing better and claiming that a 20 yr old is mature enough not to make mistakes. Some people must be so charmed to be so perfect

I grew up in Frankston and went to a school that shit you had to leave the area if you got expelled from it. I've had mates pregnant in year 9, and I've had mates serve 10+ for dealing (before 30)

He should have known better. Youth isn't an excuse for not reading what you sign. Youth isn't an excuse for thinking being an AFL footy player means cops give you a pass. Youth isn't an excuse for thinking the biggest pandemic in 100 years doesn't apply to you.
