They do. Sydney won a vfl flag and had contributions to afl success when he was written off by every other team.

And yet he is still an absolute * wit. Getting worse as time goes by.

Had cleaned up his act well before reaching Richmond.

It is somewhat surprising, though, that he is yet to relapse in the Tiger Den Cesspit

Reckon a few teams would look at the last seasons, 3rd-in-rising star to squeeze onto the list.

It's not his footballing ability that has ever been in question ...... kid can seriously play....... trouble is that "off field he plays up too" .... thats been the deterrent.

Teams that are not good at football, might find a spot for him. Is what I was trying to get at.

Even if sydney is doc evil off field.

Clearly he'll stay a Tiger for this season but not sure there would be any AFL suitors had they decided to part ways with him.

It's a bit naïve to list his on-field achievements as some sort of proof that he'd be picked up given talent has never been the issue.

Nah, if the club is already not good at football then they would be in the middle of a rebuild. You don't want off field noise going on while rebuilding the team as there will be enough problems as-is. The likely clubs that will go for Sydney Stack are at the top-end and in the lookout for some icing on their cake.

Sydney Stack will stay at Richmond (or) might get a last chance saloon look at West Coast (or) end up in scrap.

Idk he is 20. I can see plenty of teams giving him a chance. Especially with the numbers of ways onto a list now. Mid season draft. Post drafts signing period.

I'm assuming the tigers will cut him but I hope not.

They really wouldn't.

Richmond fans like to act like they drafted this talent in the SSP every other club just miraculously overlooked, but it is nowhere near the case. Bloke was easily a first round pick in his draft year but nobody wanted to touch him because he was clearly a dickhead who had massive off-field issues. Not much has changed...

What has changed is SS has won a VFL flag and made important contributions to AFL premierships.

I don't know him but he seems generally a nice kid and I'm glad Hardwick has indicated he is backing the player.

The question is, how long do you keep backing a player who is making numerous “brain dead” decisions ?.

How many is too many ?.

All I know is, Sydney is a very slow learner.

Makes good decisions and executes.

Outside of (huge) contributions to team success SS has supported small business. Is a leader for the Aboriginal community and makes songs with his friends.

Seems like a lovely young man.

Be careful, sounds like character reference’s to the Court’s, in relation to Ben Cousins & Daniel Kerr.

In all honesty, he is not a LEADER for the indigenous community. He has refused to listened to his Elders.

Sydney, you are walking on broken glass.

The guy spent weeks in jail and is now out on bail...and he apparently makes good decisions because of a well-timed bump on the footy field.

Sometimes all you can do is shake your head and laugh.

In jail for COVID reasons - i.e. isolation. And bail for COVID reasons - Gave incorrect address.

He's no criminal as you seem to be inferring. He made a stupid decision about changing address because of some family arguments. And is dumb enough to get involved in some street altercation. If he had a direct flight to WA, instead of a one hour stop in Adelaide none of this would have happened.

yes he is a dill. But he seems to attract extreme consequences to minor actions. Not sure if that's luck or poor judgement when push comes to shove.

- Goes missing in NZ for almost a whole day on a training camp.
- Kicked out of AFL and WA Academy pathways.
- Misses an u/18 champs game for being in a fight, losing a tooth whilst being pissed on his birthday.
- Loses drivers license for drink driving.
- Overlooked in two drafts, despite clearly being a top talent and underage AA.
- Gets kicked out of a strip club whilst breaking COVID protocols, proceeds to get in a public brawl straight after.
- Breaches COVID protocols for the 2nd time, under the pretense of attending a funeral. Also proceeds to get in another drunken brawl, hundreds of KMs away from where he should be.
- Is charged with failing to comply with a police direction and breaching isolation requirements and is duly refused bail.

This is what we know of/can confirm. The scuttlebutt is and always has been that there are many, many more issues and nefarious situations Stack has found himself involved in. There are very good reasons he was not drafted.

Sure he has had some challenges in life, but the bottom line is he is a dickhead and bad news. Any talk of him being a 'good kid' and a 'community leader' is pure bullshit and there is no way around that.

Not suggesting he is a criminal. Just that he is clearly an idiot.

His talent is unquestionable but talent doesn't count for everything.

This is obviously his last chance of an AFL career. If he stuffs up again and we sack him no one would touch him with all his problems, if he behaves and turns it around then we'd be pretty keen to keep him and he probably stays.

Imo the most likely scenarios are either Richmond or hes out of the game.

He'd certainly want to lift his off field game, sounds like alcohol might be an issue with him, he might wanna start there.
