Backline looks fantastic. Allows us to release Mills back into mids and also float Dawson up the ground.
I understand peoples reservations being too top heavy but this is a game where we may benefit from having 2 rucks... dont want to overload Hickey against the best ruck combo in the comp.
Predicting a big game from Rowbottom and Mills. Paps is heating up too.

Playing three tall forwards is the same set up we had in the first three rounds.. Worked alright then!
So,, Buddy + McLean (McDonald out) + Sinkers to help Hickey in the ruck (Reid out)
The weird bit about that set up was we seemed to be one KPD short.. Only McCartin and Rampe. Fox coming in helps that.
Thought Stephens was unlucky, was looking forward to see him play a solid block of games.

I would not read too much into the Stephens omission.
It is fairly competitive for senior spots at the moment. Hewett, Blakey, Campbell and Mcdonald are also out of the selected 22. And that is even with players like Heeney and Reid injured.

Blakey was one of the only ones having a dip before his corky against the Gold Coast.
Another game in the twos wouldn’t have been a bad idea but the game was cancelled. It’s not a terrible selection for the MCG
