I would have seen half a dozen Sydney games this season. We get quite blanket coverage being so close here in Canberra. The hype isn't overblown - Sydney are a shocking team to watch. Not only do they play a defensive, negative, flooding type of game, by doing so they force the other team to do the same, especially at the undersized SCG.

Get a tape of the Kangaroos v Sydney game at Manuka earlier in the season. It was the worst exhibition of Aussie rules football I've seen in many years.

They had Last time they met on Foxtel today, the game down at KP lasty year . Its not just last year that they were playing like this

Would Mooney be the best option in the ruck given he is far more mobile than Chambers or King, who I'm basically assuming will not play.

I dont think either Ball or Jolly will dominate centre bounces against him and it could be good to have him in close given it will be a scrappy afair.

Just got back from training and King did not train again this morning. Blake was training with the main group. I would expect him to be a certain starter -on the bench

fair dinkum - damn it!! I was calling for kingy's neck a week ago so it'd be hypocritical of me to jump back on his banwagon now. but... we do need him out there this week.

if he wasn't to play it's pretty obvious that blake will get the call up. so, what is he like?? is he any good?? this is directed to the people who have seen the vfl side play this year...

You weren't the Lone Ranger their were you, 1/2 the people on this board were calling for his head, thought he was good last week, but is still (blatantly obvious) carrying an injury

By all accounts in the VFL he has been not much more than servicable (have not seen him play myself, but it's what I've heard) he is a big streak of a lad and probably weighs about 80kg wringing wet :D Skills could do with improving on this mornings hit out, hope the kid goes well

I think O'loughlin is the main danger, not sure who would get him. Would he be too quick and smart for Rooke. I think we can cover Hall.

i think mooney will start on o'loughlin

hahaha... we virtually took the VFL team to play brisbane. a definite low point, injury-wise.
It was 'almost' the same team that thumped Hawthorn, doesn't say much for them ATM does it!!?

I reckon he would be our best option to be a 'run with' player when Goodes goes in the centre, his mobility around the ground will cut Chambers etc. to pieces!

You may find that the Kangaroos are also exploiters of the flood.
Sydney actually get many numbers around the ball in general in the field of play, rather than 'traditional' flooding.

It does cause frustration to see them do that all game though, and then turn around and bang 6 goals on with fast running football.

Why we don't do it all the time is the question of many Swans supporters.

For everyone who was expecting it to rain today - it is currently a fine, partly cloudy day in Sydney and no sign of rain at all. Yes, I'm surprised too! Triple M Sydney was convinced the Swans will win on their Saturday morning sports show here, I'm not so sure.

If/when Goodes rucks, would I be right in Saying Mooney would presumably follow him with Chambers/Blake as a tall up forward?? Then when Ball rucks Chambers and Blake rotate in the ruck, of course only if King doesnt play. Looking at our forward line we havnt got a tall forward line and if it is going to be dry and not wet like we expected, will one of the ruckman play constantly up forward??

Geelong by 10 points!
