Does the club have a 2million to pay him out? good luck.

He is on nearly a million a year and has 3 years left after this season so it would be closer to $4 million in pay outs once you include the assistants as well. Not cheap for a club that only has 2 million in Equity. Would send us into debt so we would be restricted in would we could chase as a result.

I'll do it for free.

I'd rather just experiment with moving away from playing see ball get ball with every player goal side of the centre circle.

What equity are you talking about and where do you get that figure if you don't mind explaining it ?

You can read our annual report. He means that after 120+ years of existence we only have $2m in assets

Here (page 10 is what your looking for): http://footyindustry.com/files/2016 Reports/Sydney Swans 2016 Annual Report.pdf

Equity is our total assets ($9.2million), things like Cash, Trade receivable and Equipment minus our total liabilities ($7.2million), things like trade payable and employee benefits.

Basically we run at a very tight margin so the football department can get as much money spent on it as possible so any decision to sack a coach isn't taken lightly as it will have a huge impact going forward.

We won't be sacking Horse before the end of next year

**** the Annual report. Somebody is taking the Piss. Or as it is described at local Footy Clubs touching the Till.

Hardly. The club is run for the benefit of the football department and not for the club to build up its bank balance, the annual reports back that up.

Helps to stop the club from making knee jerk decisions, not to say a decision to gain improvement isn't needed in some form.

Yes but he has credits in the bank for losing GF'S  Will get no scrutiny put on him what so ever and the Club's most loyal and only supporters that are hurting on here will defend him to the ******* hilt.
I am not defending him, at the moment. In all forms of employment, some workers need stress leave. Horses stress level has possibly hit the roof! Really dont know how this works for an Afl coach, is he not listening to his assistants, and being single minded on his execution of outdated game plan.
Take time out Horse,2 months stress leave! Nothing to lose now let some assistants earn their money!!!!!!!!!!!!

Even though it is poles apart I can tell you from experience, coaching suburban footy for a long period of time it is one of the first thing that happens when you are under the pump from a win loss ratio. You go into protection mode and think the only one who knows is yourself and the only one you can trust and rely on is yourself. Human Nature.
