We deserved to lose that. We were slow and defensive for much of the game, so even when we were attacking Essendon had as much time as they wanted to setup their defensive structures.

We also had quite s few passengers today, those who didn't find the ball much. Heeney too was awful. Went for about 10 big marks, didn't get any of them.

Players need to do the one percenters.

Our younger brigade was poor, especially for how vaunted they either are, or think they are.

Need to develop more of our gameplan with players who we have.

The three co-captains and Florent were excellent in general play but shocking in the centre.

Everyone else ordinary.

Not surprising as no two games will be the same for us this year.

Agree. He has a chance to become great though.

And anyone who thinks Mills and Heeney are going to be elite need their head read.

Good players both sure, Henney can do some great things, but they they lack the X factor and will to take a game by the scruff of the neck and win it by imposing themselves.

Glad I stayed away and did not read the game thread. Doubt whether it would have been pretty.

Never seen so many passengers in a Swans side. We have one genuine mid on the wrong side of 30 with little support the poor bugger.
