They had an easy draw and NO FORWARDS last year, they got by with lots of midfield and flanker type goals. This year they had a slightly tougher draw, injuries to the flanker and mids who had been kicking their goals and they still have NO FORWARDS. The AFL will ensure they get some big signings over the summer and they'll have key forwards next season (back it in).

Wouldn’t worry too much if your a swans fan.

We all know the entire fate of the competition rests on the swans being competitive (or so we’re constantly told apparently)

So Expect Andy and lausie to be drafting up a draft assistance and ambassadorial payment uptick as we speak.

Of course it will be all hard earned tho - tha bloods kultcha way!!!

Or perhaps Dean Cox is a shit coach. Has taken that team backwards in a big way.

Like the Geelong side of 89-95, I think they were carried by superstars, from Goodes, JPK, Franklin, Heeney, Warner etc. Otherwise a soft club, havent had that bloods culture since 2012. Maybe the 2014 GF ended it, never recovered psychologically.

Cats were finals chokers most of that decade between 2011 and 2022 remember, but then something change. Chris Scott like Longmire tasted success early in his career and had a lull, but managed one more.

Maybe, but it’s too early to be definitive. Every coach gets a free swing in their first year, if they are still having these types of results next year then you start to question if Cox is the guy

Right now there’s too many other contributing factors. Injuries, top heavy list, potentially damaged psyche after 4 grand final defeats in 10 years, etc

Longmire's Swans finished 1st on the ladder 3 times and won a single premiership.

Scott's Cats finished 1st on the ladder twice and have won 2 premierships.

One is more chokey than the other, especially given Scott's team have only had one final at its actual home ground.

They'll get JUH for next to nothing, come in over the top for TDK and then give Tommy Lynch a 2 year deal to try and steal a flag before Chad leaves.

Papley - Lynch - Hayward
Campbell - TDK - JUH

Not bad...

Cats were prelim final chokers, Swans grand final chokers. Had a good record in SCG finals, whilst they went down to two non MCG tenants in successive GFs.

Nah. A fair chunk of those were on the opposition's home ground or in other cases Geelong finished 3rd-4th (so maxing out at a prelim was par).

Sydney got smashed in grand finals and only once was it the opposition's home ground. 3 times they finished 1st on the ladder in that run of chokes too. 1 flag to show for it, Geelong 2.

Not the same.

Who cares this thread is for bagging Sydney

The guy who compared Longmire to Scott. Horse had 3x as many first place finishes as premierships, while Scott went 1 for 1 with only one actual home final.

Horse set this mentally fragile team up to capitulate under the next leadership. Scott stuck at it and won another premiership, with a new generation coming through now.

You miss a very important point

We also have no BACKS!

The backline is a joke. Mccartin and Melican as your two "key backs" is a complete schemozzle.
Then the rest are shit or cooked anyway.

On top of that our VFL side has been shit for years.
We have no depth. The list is awful.
It's cellar dweller for a decade.

Bigfooty has this fake myth about Swans Cola and academy which is total nonsense.
Out list is awful.

The real question is how the **** 16 other clubs allowed this shit fraud side to make the GF last year ??

Don't blame the Swans or the AFL. Blame yourselves.

Ask this question.

How shit was your side last year?

McCartin's alright isn't he? Or do I just think that because he gives Larkey a sponge bath whenever we play you :D
