I think I read a stat that only 20% of teams on top at the half way mark of the season go on to win the flag.

Not a good place to be. This is why I was fairly sure we would topple off the perch.

To be honest I thought we'd probably lose to GWS and then the Lions and be out in straight sets.

Demons 2022 was another stark example of this, coming off a flag season they were 10-0 after 10 rounds and some pundits were saying they could go undefeated... lost their next 3 games on the trot and another 3 over the rest of the H&A season, then went out in straight sets in the finals.
