I often think that had Sylvia been a late draft pick rather than number 3, that wouldn't have have played nearly as many games as he has. For a long time last year he was simply coasting along in the side, glimpses of potential keeping him there. Having said that I'm not unhappy we got him considering that the other players available in the top 10, Bradley, Tenace, Walker and so forth haven't really blossomed yet either

Word is Sylvia kicked 3 goals in a half playing for Sandy today.

I expect he will be like other rehab players and play 3 quarters for Sandy next week, then a full game the week after and be back into consideration for Melbourne about round 3-4. Unless of course he is re-injured...

Having played 1 half of football in the entire pre-season where he apparently looked rusty and unfit I really don't think he is going to play round 1. Going into a game with underdone players is not a good idea.

Sylvia is a lil dynamo. He's talented and versatile, I guess attitude and injuries are the only things holding him back at this stage.

I'd say Sylvie would have the better talent out of the two. McLean has more grunt and desire at the moment.
