Sylvia and McLean will be great acquisitions as they will be ready to walk into our 22 for next season improve our midfield significantly. Sylvia will be a gun at AFL level.

Yes he does.Sylvia is also a player who could become captain of the MFC.I am delighted with our selections.The only dissappointment was not utilizing pick 52 as there were some good players still there such as Burges,Gayfer,FurfaroSurjan,Davey,Herrington,M.Johnson and McQualter. IMO they were all worth a punt and one should have been picked and then MFC deciding to delist one of Walsh or Rigoni and then taking one of Houlihan and Read. Anyway, the day was an overall success.:)
 
Im very happy with who we got.

The draft will always be a bit of a guessing game but with these two at least you know they'll give their all no matter what.

My brother goes to school with McLean. He's 1 yr above him and from what he's telling me he spends half his time at Maccas but Im sure that will change. :)

The midfield now looks much much healthier. Yze, Sylvia, McLean, Johnstone, Thompson and Armstrong should become a pretty deadly combination and it also makes way for a player like Heffernan who will never be a leading midfielder but could be useful with the harder bodies around him.
 
Yes very exciting times for the demons, I'm rapt with the Sylvia Mclean Johnson pickups, Mclean was an interesting pick considering the raps on Tenace...time will tell with that one but ND loves leadership qualities. I think I either picked we'll get McLean or we should so I think i've done well there if i do say so myself;)

Your brother obviously has little idea mate, i can say that the MFC are getting a out and out professional. The guy does everything 100% right he might like anyother teenage footballer get on the sauce but that is little to worry about.
You all should be rapt with getting a classy bloke a gun footballer and a fantastic role model, Well done MFC.

Well it doesn't show if thats the case. He seems pretty fit to me. Was right up there in some of the running tests at draft camp.

It would be a fair way to Essendon Keilor SC from your place wouldn't it BPP?

My brother's living with my dad in Brunswick so it's like a 10 minute bus ride from there.

It's a good school apparently and a big recruiting ground for the Calder Cannons. Pity he's not really interested...

On McLean, my brother is positive it's him who he' seen endulging at Highpoint, not that it's a huge deal or anything. He only noticed and pointed it out to me because he's very health conscious himself.
