My toe could have died: Sylvia

MELBOURNE midfielder Colin Sylvia has saved his toe and is itching to play against Collingwood on Monday despite spending the past six days in hospital.

Sylvia was still in hospital today for treatment on a blood clot in his right foot, but has been named on the wing for Monday's Queens Birthday match against Collingwood.

Sounds promising, bit of comedy in there from Col as well shows he's in good spirits.

Boom-boom-tish!

im putting money on he wasnt joking lol, i just read the thing. I hope he was dont get me wrong... BUT

He was actually really funny during the news report, he dragged his drip around to the cameras "I've been in this plays for days dragging my new friend around, we sleep together, we shower together, it's great!"

Was funny:thumbsu:

Good news for Sylvia.
Sounds like a bit of a joker.

In the same story the HUN says that;

Watts made his debut in the Queens Birthday match against Collingwood last year and the Magpies defence made a point of putting intense physical pressure on him.

I remember him getting a fairly warm welcome from three Pies players, but don't remember him getting any undue pressure, or even more than any other player type pressure.

Does anyone agree he was under intense physical pressure from Collingwood players?

I know he was under a fair bit of pressure because of the big build up.

The pies players definitely targeted him.
Not saying its unfair, just what happened.
As for the rest of the game, tbch I can't remember if they kept harrassing him. I would say that they would have (even if no-one really saw it), and that Jack can expect more of the same this weekend. Hopefully he can put some goals on the board though.

Yes, I'd suggest that Maxwel being the 3rd (or 4th) man in was a little excessive.

I have been doing some serious head scratching over the last 24 hours trying to work out why Miller is in the team. Perhaps he is to act as Watts' bodyguard?

Or there will be a punch up before the first bounce and Miller has been included to show us that the "Old Miller" is not dead he has just been hybernating? :D
