Oh hai, guyz.

I've been having such a royal (blue and white) time enjoying terrorist high security alerts on my hols, I'd forgotten all about this. Just snared some wifi action and caught up with the news. And as a long time *scum hater (and keen subscriber to this great thread), I think it's fairly safe to say you can color me a very fetching shade of tickled pink.

Anyhoo, back to the warm fuzzy glow of bombs. But before I head off, just let me just say - HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA. Gagf, you pathetic bunch of low-life, cheating shit-heels. Hope you enjoy your break as much as I'm enjoying mine.

Arjen would think it's a fantastic idea. AFL handling AFL business for better or worse.
Of course I would.

My thoughts on the AFL aren't well known, my take is they should all have to reapply for their jobs at 1/4 pay and most of the hierachial layers of rubbish removed.

Our dividend from the AFL should be a lot more except that we fund what is a gravy train.

I have mentioned many times now that the AFL handed down its finding and I was OK with that punishment - others aren't and I can understand why.

As for you personally, you're a total impostor and oxygen thief without an original bone in your body. I may be wrong a lot and so be it, but at least I have the stones to put my original thoughts on record to be ridiculed by a lot of people I like and am able to seperate that from the next robust discussion we will most likely have.

So what if I think the AFL should rule its own sport and cover shit up for the greater good. It works for me. As long as my team is successful and not disadvantaged too much and is given fair opportunity to prosper - I can live with that.

Do you think you can accidentally cheat? Think about that question and reconsider whether the important thing about cheating is the incidental obtaining of an unfair advantage, or intent.
Do you consider Warney a drug cheat?

I wonder if the Coon Dog has any regrets in selecting to go to the Scum in preference to the mighty NMFC? No longer playing under his "Idol" in Turd. No longer at a club that has a chance of playing finals in the foreseeable future. The Dogs also looking a lot better than before he left. Anyways LOL Coon Dog. :stern look

Hard to know. Really depends on how ugly and protracted any legal action gets. I do suspect, at least, that we've finally hit ground zero though.

Obviously we'll be belted in most games this year so that's going to be an acid test, but most seem to be saying (as any fan who isn't pissweak should) that we don't have any choice but to just tough this year out and look forward to 2017. You'd think it's very unlikely all 12 of the current players will stay, but once we tough out this year and the ones that do stay return to the park, things can only improve.

Closure is hard to define. Footy will never quite feel the same to me, because regardless of your views on what's happened, it's been a very chastening experience as a fan and inevitably, it does mean that you've lost the innocence of footy being, for want of a better way to put it, 'just a game'- an escape from the banality of every day life. And having seen North in mortal danger as you guys did less than a decade ago, I'm sure you can associate with the stress of that.

But as I'm sure you will also attest to, it's made any subsequent success you've had much sweeter and if there's anything keeping me going in a fan sense now, it's the faith that this is probably ultimately what Essendon, perversely enough, needed. To make us wake the **** up. To make us realise that 'We Are Essendon' doesn't ensure success, nor impress anyone. That right now, to the contrary, all it inspires is derision and disdain, and that the club has to do things right to start the climb back.

Think of it being in a bushfire context- eventually the regrowth happens. Now, we're still far too close to the time of the big fire for there to be regrowth yet, and other fires still threaten us. But we're finally at the point where there's no choice but to rebuild from scratch.

It'll be a long and hard journey, but in a bizarre way, the pressure is off as a fan this year. We're every chance to not win a game, although Sod's Law dictates we'll probably sneak a win over a Cartlon or Melbourne or Brisbane at some point, and given our list, I can't realistically EXPECT a single win this year. I'll go along and just watch the kids, and the top ups, and Goddard pointing, and be happy if they at least try.

I can't say I'm looking forward to all of it, but it'll be a journey nonetheless. A true fan sticks fat in the tough times.
Much respect.

Reckon Hird is going to go nuclear on Sunday. With nothing to lose anymore he will lob hand grenades everywhere. He's on the ABC, no commercial obligations. Will be very interesting viewing.

If he took the stuff to try to take any short cuts to recovery, sure. I wouldn't claim to have enough info to make that call, but if pushed to speculate, I'd probably say yes, but I'd admit that's based on bias because of what else i know about the guy.

Your stuff about the AFL isn't consistent, and that's what arced me up in the first place. On the one hand you say that regulatory bodies like WADA should butt out of the AFL's business, but that's supposed to be OK because you think that everyone should have to quit and reapply at 1/4 wages. Well, um, who should be directing that?

Don't you think there will be more legal action to come from former and current players ? As many people have suggested that could put your side into financial ruin.....I think thats when you guys hit ground zero, Doss . With all due respect?

I'm not sure. Last couple of newspaper articles I've read he is beginning to sound unhinged. It will be interesting to see what sort of state he is in when interviewed.

RECORDING OF THE ACTUAL DRUG TEST

Tester: "Welcome, I am Hank, I'll be doing your drug test today... have you ever been tested before?"

Player: "arrr... yes, last year"

Tester: "So you understand you must disclose to me every type of medication you are taking in the past 30 days?"

Player: "yep.."

Tester: "OK, please read and sign this official declaration which says you have listed every type of medication... including any medications prescribed by your GP or club doctor for any injuries or other reasons..."

Player: "Um... does this include being injected with stuff?''

Tester: "What stuff?"

Player: "No idea... club just said we had to take this stuff... but have been told it is safe and legal, so it's all good..."

Tester: "Hmmmm...maybe just note it down and say "Being injected with some stuff, but have no idea what it is" and then sign it... Should be all good."

The rational individual will keep their mouth shut, and as someone I know says, "don't back up the Heinz truck (and spill all the beans)". This is the how the AFL and * have largely operated because they are led by lawyers who know to STFU.

The delusional narcissist will blabber on blaming all and sundry, pointing in every which way direction, and taking no responsibility.

I don't think it's a case of lack of intelligence but more so emotional recklessness.

James is obviously looking for a new career and gainful employment now. Imagine if he became a travel agent? You'd wander in and say "I'm not fussed about going anywhere specific in the world, just send me to where you reckon is a 'good place'." Where would he send you?

Hey champ, looks like you need a bit of a refresher on the forum rules, especially the first point under 'golden rules'. If you can't post in this thread without resorting to personal abuse of others, perhaps you should not post here (like you said you were going to do a couple of pages back).

The Australian front page has the Indonesia situation.

The Herald is still painting *hird in a martyr image.

Eff me.
Wat does Jimmi say today?

Any apologies or accountability?

I only buy the Saturday Sun over summer to read the column in the Weekender where people write in with their personal problems.

Maybe Jimmi could write into her nek week to get his problems solved?

I can't believe some donialists are still standing by hird.

I'd like to think if this happened to us and former player now coach [insert premiership player] acted the way hird has he wouldn't have a single supporter and would be banished from the annals of NMFC history.
