Do you believe everything you read? I firmly believe it was a rogue element within the club namely Dank and another. If you employ a biochemist to do a job and he says take this, would you question it?
"The moment it is in your system - you are gone - full stop" - blaming someone else is the stock standard response. You don't know if Watson deliberately set out to cheat or if he was unlucky. Either way that is not the point. Re read the 1st sentance again and again until it sinks in. 40 injections and not 1 phone call to check = drug cheating pig. Oink oink.....

Every club does injections these days mate and plenty of them, it's a common practise.

Where does it say he is not certified? Yes it was negligence from Essendon on many fronts, the ziggy report identified this, but not deliberate deceit, at least not from 95% of the club.

I don't buy the missing letter/Reid crap for one second.

Nor do I buy in to the idea that Hird and others were blissfully unaware that they had a completely rogue mad scientist operating under their noses.

The players signed forms with listed illegal compounds and were in dereliction of their personal professional obligations. This professional obligation cannot be delegated.

Coach gone, footy department sacked, players suspended, heavy fines and penalties handed down.

How do you know they didn't sign on to become drug cheats? You are guessing - you have no idea what they were thinking when they stuck their arm out to get an injection.

In the same way I would most certainly question the PR bullshit being spun by the coach and club. This is the problem with *Essendon. Every one of their supporters has thrown back the Koolaid and no-one is stopping to question whether it may have been a mistake to push the drug code to the edge of the law. The fact that they tripped over the law entirely is now being blamed on the so called rogue element when it was a directive from the coach. You really have to stop and ask yourself "What does this clown have to do before the *Essendon supporters wake up?" There's no way a North coach, even a club legend, would survive putting the club at risk in this fashion.

WADA 10.5.1 and 10.5.2 (explanatory notes):

a sanction could not be completely eliminated on the basis of No Fault or Negligence in
the following circumstances: (a) a positive test resulting from a mislabeled
or contaminated vitamin or nutritional supplement (Athletes are responsible
for what they ingest (Article 2.1.1) and have been warned against
the possibility of supplement contamination); (b) the administration
of a Prohibited Substance by the Athlete’s personal physician or trainer without
disclosure to the Athlete (Athletes are responsible for their choice of medical personnel
and for advising medical personnel that they cannot be given any Prohibited Substance);
and (c) sabotage of the Athlete’s food or drink by a spouse, coach or other Person within the
Athlete’s circle of associates (Athletes are responsible for what they ingest
and for the conduct of those Persons to whom they entrust access to their
food and drink).
Just thought I'd post it again.

It's worth highlighting this again also

See I interpret that are the players being gone, and the club being gone worse.

When found guilty of doping the players sanctions will take care of themselves, it'll be all WADA.

When found guilty though the AFL need to go hard at *Essendon, its worse than tanking, its worse than Salary cap breeches and it needs to be reflected in the sanctions that are handed down.

Guilt = the worst sanctions handed down by the AFL ever.

Oh yeah and they were doping and we still beat their asses with 1 player on the bench.
