I'd like to see a mash up of Tim Flogson's comments over the past 6 or whatever months. With each new revelation he stoops to a new low with his righteous, cool, calm, yet clearly deceitful attempts at a cover up. It's sickening to watch on as he treats us like a bunch of ****wits and gets by with no one honourable enough to call him out.
Scum.
They will all be made to look like to fools they are when all said and done.

Obviously the cracks are starting to appear, Jobe realising he has lost his Charlie, has engaged a PR consultant personally to "soften" his position in the whole mess. To hear that he has gone rogue is plain evidence of this, what can *Essendon do? drop their captain? Classic case of rats fleeing a sinking ship....so to speak.
Gripping reality tv!!

Horace I think it bodes pretty bad not for AOD but other substances listed on the consent form that were purchased by *Essendon.

The below was sent to me this morning.

The *Essendon story so far;

1. We're shocked to be sitting here
2. We don't know what we've taken
3. We've taken nothing illegal
4. We can't comment during the investigation.
5. No one outside Dank and the Weapon knew what was going on
6. Those invoices? What invoices? Oh, you mean the ones we signed and paid.
7. We don't know what we've taken
8. We've taken nothing illegal
9. We can't comment during the investigation.
10. What consent forms?
11. Oh. those consent forms. They don't prove that the substances named were actually taken.
12. The coaches and doctors didn't know about the forms or the program. Its all Dank and the Weapon's fault.
13. Oh yeah. Hirdy was in the room when the Consent forms were signed
14. And oh yeah - Hirdy had a six month text fling with Dank raving on about the program
15. We can't comment during the investigation.
16. We don't know what we've taken
17. We've taken nothing illegal
18. But wait! We have a letter
19. No we don't
20. We can't comment during the investigation.
21. The forms state AOD-9604
22. But look! it's not in Section S2 of the WADA banned substances list
23. Oh, but it is in section S0. Damn!
24. But look there have been some cosmetics use! All clear!
25. Damn... WADA says banned for athletes
26. But it's OK to use AOD if you have a prescription and obtain it from a compounding pharmacist. Oh damn, that only applies for medications approved for Human use.
27. We can't comment during the investigation.
28. Yeah but... we aren't saying we took AOD-9604
29. But if we did take it, we think we're fine
30. Jobe admits he took a banned substance.
31. Doc Reid knew about it after all
32. But we're still fine. Jobe and Timmy say so.
33. We can't comment during the investigation.

Yeah, they've been open, honest and co operative throughout.

I raise you a crucifixion.
Has a bit too much martyr for mine.

In view of what they've been accused of, stoning would also have to be right up there.
There's something wrong with the way I think. Both of these posts make me think of scenes from The Life of Brian.

So clearly then they are absolutely innocent of any wrongdoing.

39. It's complicated.
40. We're just following orders
41. I saw nothing and heard nothing.
42. Watson Snr says most players are innocent and Jobe shouldn't lose the brown low.
43. Essendon PR continue to lie
44. Essendon FC continue to lie
45. Syringes found in Spike Mcveigh's house and car.
46. James Hird caught again using substances not fit for human consumption.

100. AFL forces the Essendon FC to be disbanded as football club, all its players banned for three years and individual 10 million dollar fines. Jobe hands back the brownlow and Scum supporters labelled as supporters of cheats.

I just want it to end it's gone on long enough. It's pretty obvious as to what they have done and what they were exposed.

WADA should step in and put the clamps on.

I know a former player who tells me he knows of players from 3 different clubs that used banned drugs. So if you think it's a one off you're kidding yourself. It's just that we got caught.
And that fact that the club was giving it to the players. Systematic doping is a considerably larger issue then one bloke doing it from a club.

Ding Ding Ding Ding.

Systematic doping.

Pushing then crossing boundries.

They will try to argue a technicality to get themselves out of it. Here is the cold stark reality, they pushed a line and trusted someone they never did proper checks on, left the door open for boundries to not be monitored or monitored by someone who didn't care enough to worry about them.

They wanted an edge they all wanted this and were aware of it, turns out the people looking for the edge cheated to try and get it.

The club as a whole should be sanctioned because of it. Fines are next to useless when they have the AFL media machine building them up for the amount of blockbusters they have. Sanctions need to include bans for officials (President,CEO,Coach,Director of Coaching). Combined with on-field sanctions those that fall foul of the WADA code banned, the club lose points onfield rendering the next 2 years winless for them.

It is and was a huge failing of governance (I hate the amount of business speak in footy clubs) they subjected their players to being treated as guinea pigs.

The can keep their money, give them actual sanctions that hurt them, sanctions that deter any club ever from even contemplating pushing the limit of legality of PED's in AFL.

Oooooh. Now I'm really scared. Perhaps you might pass that sensational piece of information on to the AFL.

Players from 3 different clubs used banned drugs? Perhaps that clears up the little mystery as to why the AFL does random drug testing do you think?
