taking quotes completely out of context - do you work for Fairfax?
Yes, I'm actually Caro. How did *you guess?

BTW isn't it nice that *you can come over here and have *your say, but we can't say boo about *your drug riddled *club over on *your board.

I'm quite stoked though that in what is normally such a long boring part of the year, *your *club has kindly fixed all that as *it piece by piece slowly but surely disintegrates. Fun times indeed.

Now back to work writing my next article about the shambles that is your *club. And an especially heartfelt thanks to young *jimmy. What a man.

Bomber could've said he was leaving to leave a clear path forward and you would've accused him of cowardice.

You're basically a troll.
*rines is a troll? Things are going from bad to worse.

And this from *rines

It's done.

Hird is gone.

Now we just wait for the fall out.

Media will applaud.. AFL will be happy.. but I suggest the membership is going to have a little more trouble accepting it. Is going to cause a huge rift right down the middle of the club.. staff/players/supporters.

We have held strong for two years.. but tonight (in my opinion) will be the straw the broke the back.. this will be where we can trace our next ten years of mediocrity and in fighting back too.. and it may even be longer.

I'll support the club no matter what.. but this dog act has just effectively ended any chance of our club surviving this disaster in one piece
.
Poor *rines.

And more from the poor soul.

Nope.

So far he hasn't be true to his word on one thing.. just sat quietly by and watched his plan work. He brings Robinson to the club (personally because of his work at Geelong) and then recommends Dank (again telling Hird that he was successful in what he advised at Geelong).. and then sits back and claims it was all Hirdy..

Then he promises Hird that he will take the team for a year and then step down.. but oh now we get there and suddenly he doesn't want to step down.. in fact he is quite happy to be the media darling while Hird gets to be the fall guy for one of the biggest conspiracies and clusterfarks in recent memory.

Chance of him honouring his word? Zero.

Starting to understand why Geelong were so dirty on him.. his 'word' isn't worth the air it is spoken with

^ And again I am compelled to agree with her on Thompson (*Albert can GAGF). She has the facts right in relation to the process of bringing The Weapon and Dank into the club.

Brings back memories of him trashing Ablett for months in his last season, then flying the coop himself the moment he got a better offer.

Dont worry, they will be walking, along with 30k Essendon fans! How dare the club even CONTEMPLATE sacking the naughty boy messiah . Definitionally he is the literal purveyor of fine peptides salvation for the worst football club in history human race.

In other news the chosen one in their megathread has actually gone insane. I feel a stirring of sympathy.
Me too!

It's essentially civil war between the supporter base. Team Hird v Team Bomber. This is going to force stakeholders and board members against each other in the greatest blood thirsty cage match of all time.

Forget bans, debt and other issues, this alone would tear most clubs apart for ten years. Realistically they only got over Knights about two or so years ago, before all this went public.

That club is utterly screwed.

sympathies etc...

Ha, ha.
Was thinking...

* know that they're stuffed, and have at least one rational board member who knows it's frivolous to appeal. They're also probably aware that those 34 show cause notices are likely to turn into sanctions once they're dealt with. They're also aware that they'll cop other whacks (i.e., Worksafe) but figure throwing money at pointless appeals only drags things on longer. The *board can do this as it's the legal entity (*FC) and the *players that will cop it. They have enough members to feel that they can weather the storm.

However, very different for *Jimmah. It's personal. *He cops it directly. *His career as a coach is on the line. *His personal reputation is on the line. *He will go down kicking and screaming as any ASADA effect *him directly on a personal and professional level. #itspersonal4albert

But he'd never ever be asked to coach anywhere except *EFC so it's a moot point. He's not fighting for his future employment prospects. He is on an emotional quest to have a win over the AFL. And if he wants to throw away his own good money after bad forever, who cares? The issue is that his vendetta shouldn't be able to stop ASADA moving ahead with its process - and given Middleton's comments about not providing relief even if he found in *Hird and *Essendon's favour, it really should be decided that the SCNs have to go ahead regardless.

You could not make this shit up:

Okay, I'm hanging my hat on the theory that Hird doesn't want to coach anymore (could you blame him?) and is taking on ASADA solo with the boards "unofficial" consent so that the club can move on, Hird can expose the villainous treachery of the AFL and ASADA and Bomber can continue with their joint masterplan for premiership success. Little will pump money into the club to "pay out" Hird's contract and he will fight the good fight for the club as a "black-ops" mission.
who's with me?
It is an extradordinary post on a number of levels. I know it has been said before, but there is definitely a PhD thesis for a budding psychologist contained within the Essendon board thread.

There is now no mystery on how the likes of Jonestown and Waco occur. One just needs to read that thread to grok true delusion.

Slobbo 'reported' this:

"Patrick Ryder is gone; others might leave; players might take deals; Thompson might have packed his togs for Queensland; and Hird’s taking his life and reputation to the High Court."

Drunk ramblings vs Hirdy actually might do it? I'd honestly say it could be both.

Motherf***** would probably take this all the way to The Hague if he could. The public is in for some fun reading if he loses his appeals.
