I just keep watching this again and again and it makes me feel really good. I reckon one of our boys must have stuck a SCN onto the ball at half time because Jab does just not want it.
One of the papers had a great shot of this from ground level.

When we were are the point of "daring to dream" I had worked out that if we won the whole thing, whatever I got framed for the wall was going to include a beautiful high quality print of THIS TURNING POINT of that first final.

Seemed very underrated in the media in the next few days and was disappointing that it was really only acknowledged in Slobbo's column.

Essendon doping saga: ASADA accusations now turn to Shanghai factory

http://www.news.com.au/sport/afl/es...shanghai-factory/story-fndv7pj3-1227088199608

I think the bit below is something that a lot of Essendon supporters either don't realise, have forgotten or are just plain ignoring.

It is believed ASADA decided to pursue anti-doping charges against the Bombers after independent reviews of their case backed the move because the evidence was deemed to satisfy the standard of proof in anti-doping cases.

This standard, known as “comfortable satisfaction”, is lower than the “beyond reasonable doubt” standard applied in criminal cases.

A lot of them seem to be clinging to the idea that ASADA are taking their time because "they have nothing substantial" and are in hope that the players will take a deal before the evidence gets tested. The point highlighted above will bring all that undone I feel.

Many are hoping/expecting that to issue an infraction notice ASADA will need for a near "forensic" set of evidence.

Many will be angrier than they are now when they realise how little hint of drug use it takes to ruin an athlete's career.

It was the moment of the final series for mine, when we drew the line in the sand. The making of Wright too.

Their oft-repeated claim that there is nothing but weak circumstantial evidence and that ASADA is "bluffing" overlooks one inconvenient truth - ASADA's brief of evidence has been independently examined by two highly credentialed law type guys and they have both recommended proceeding with the case. Added to that, the change over in CEO's at ASADA gave the incoming chief the perfect opportunity to wash his hands of this mess and blame his predecessor. But no, he too looked at the brief and elected to go in all guns blazing.

In short, ASADA may well fail to make the charges stick but one thing is certain - they believe they have a valid case and they are not bluffing.

The more I think about it, the more I come to realise that it's a blessing for the AFL that this fiasco should be perpetrated by * and with Jimmy the Idiot Boy* at the helm. Any other club and with any other tool in charge, and 98% of the membership would have abandoned the club and possibly the game. But no matter what is revealed, it seems a majority of these kool-aid slurpers will stand by the turd.

The whole thing is a sick, twisted joke.

I can't believe that we are wasting millions of tax payers dollars to have a near two year investigation into whether 34 AFL players were duped into inadvertently taking one dose of TB4 to play in a private sporting competition in 2012...

Yes and Lance Armstrong only did one course of EPO. And he didn't inhale.
