Wonder if he'll pin that on Hird too.

Yeah, it's not as if it was Hirdy in there with Evans getting a copy of the financials for the new wonder drug supplement that was being tested on a group of young men.

Only Evans was going to commercialise it, not St James. That's your take?

LOL, how can you breathe with your head still in the sand after all these years?

I never said Hird was ignorant or uninvolved.

Massive leap you took there.

No leap at all. It's the logical conclusion when you imply that Evans pinned it on Hird last time.

You gonna argue semantics again? Seems like it's your main go. If you do, I'll start by noting I never asserted that you said Hird was ignorant or uninvolved.

Its not the logical conclusion at all.

Hird and Evans were in it together. But who got the punishment and who slipped away unhindered?

Evans saved himself by throwing Hird under the bus, did Hird deserve to be under the bus? Absolutely but David should've been there with him.

The only difference between Evans & Hird is that Evans was smart enough to jump, whilst Hird continued to place his ego ahead of his club and made a ridiculous spectacle out of himself in the process.

Exactly. Considered posting something similar, but if people can't see that James' problems in this saga were all self-inflicted, it's not my problem.

LAWYERS INVOLVED AS INVESTORS BOMBED OUT OF $100M
Tens of millions of dollars in investments controlled by former Essendon football club chairman David Evans have been lost, and now investors are considering a class action against his company, Evans Dixon.
Looks like the apple didn't fall far from the tree. Both he and his old man were obviously off doing something more important like buying ivory back scratchers the day business ethics was being taught during their respective university courses.

Of course they were. Who said otherwise?

Ok, Mr Semantics. You stated that Evans pushed James under the bus and then whinged that James was the only one punished. Why the whinge if you actually accept he brought it upon himself?
I didn't whinge at all.

I just merely pointed out last time David was involved in shady business he made sure that his partner in crime (that's Hird btw) took a hit while he skated away.

I was just wondering if he'd try and do it again this time.

Edit: I just realised why you're calling me Mr Semantics. 😂 Are you still embarrassed over that? Mate its probably time to let it go. You made an error, it's cool. We're all human.

Oh dear, you've talked yourself into a corner here. You're arguing both sides.

First, you have maintained that Evans threw Hird under the bus and escaped punishment, so poor Hirdy was the only one punished for their joint crime. So, Evans' fault.

But, you also assert that you are well aware that Hird's punishment was self-inflicted ("of course"). He could have skated away like Evans did, accepting he was in the wrong, and chose not to. So, Hird's fault.

They can't both be right.

Sure it can, if you actually read what I said and weren't desperately hoping for a gotcha moment after I embarrassed you last time.

Evans got off by pinning it on Hird. Hird was correctly punished.

My argument falls down if I believe Hird was punished as a result of Evans actions, I don't.

No, Evans got off lightly because he was smart enough to walk away when it hit the fan. Hird had the same choice and blew it. There was no "pinning it on Hird" by Evans as you keep asserting.

"Supplement" things may have come out about Evans if he stayed around.;)

Ok we can disagree. :)
