Analysis Syria is better than Queensland - official thread

Thread for comparisons between the two, with a definite preference for the Land of Al-Sham, home to the oldest continuously occupied city in the world, treasure trove of human history, the very cradle of civilisation.

Over Queensland, home to the oldest continuously working stripper in the world, treasure trove of meth pipes, the very cradle of racism on this island.

To open:

Queensland's Education Minister is called Grace Grace.

Syria's is Hazwan Al-Wuz

Very clearly Syria the winner here.
The capital is the fourth oldest continuously inhabited city followed by Allepo in 3rd.

Byblos in Lebanon and Jericho in Palestine are the 2nd and 1st.

Other than that completely agree on all points.

Syria has beautiful beaches and without the hassles and dangers you find on Queensland beaches.

Ohhh, the terror.

A couple of points- I will make the Egyptian team of the century should they ever have one.

And we're no less likely finding footballers in Syria than we are Queensland. Watson, Wanger, Williams and am sure I've missed other Q duds we drafted?

Egypt is definitely better than South Australia.

I thought we'd already had one?

Mick Golan, the Galloping Gas-Homs-eter.

West Australians like Jim and Phil Krak De Chevaliers are fine.
