So would I, but he's probably not high profile enough. It would be fun to see him given a go.:thumbsu:

Neither was the ducthman who played for Tassie last year, but he went all right

Ten Doeschate has been playing very well in the T20 comp in England for the last few years, He was far higher profile than KOB before the World Cup. And England have been sniffing around him for about the same length of time, him being a Saffer and all.

Most people in Aus wouldn't have known who he was though, not to mention the casual fans that t20 attracts in the droves

Sydney Thunder announce Dougie Bollinger & Fidel Edwards as their latest recruits; Edwards being the second international along with Gayle.

Just over a week of the window to go so plenty more names to come for a few of the teams (Heat, Sixers, Stars, Strikers).:thumbsu:

UPDATE: Melbourne Stars to announce more players today, Thunder set to announce a "dynamic Australian batsman" on Friday night on Fox Sports News.

Tigers flavour to the Melbourne Stars with James Faulkner joining George Bailey at the MCG based side; also some Bushrangers naturally with Dutchy Holland and Alex Keath signed up today too.

Anyone seen enough of Keath to form an opinion? Next Big Thing or is it a case of cricket trying to spite the AFL Juggernaut?;)

Gahhhh!

Let's look at the International signings thus far...the good ones at least!

Chris Gayle
Fidel Edwards

Rana Naved

Shahid Afridi
Abdul Razzaq

Keiron Pollard

And we got stuck with FIGJAM Gibbs and Collingwood. :thumbsd:

How about looking at Zim and associates and picking up an O'Brien, Stirling (who cracked another fast ton yesterday), or even Sean Ervine or Elton Chigumbura? Would have been more inspired...

Collingwood is a good pick up, good little bowler and gun fielder.

He's been picked primarily for his batting (I assume). Could not make a run in the last Ashes here, and I don't expect much to change in the Big Bash.

He's a better pick up than Gibbs though, who will spend more time looking at his reflection in the Swan River than actually playing. :thumbsd:

Adelaide Strikers released their next lot:

Lee Carseldine, Adam Crosthwaite, Brendan Drew, Theo Doropoulos & Gary Putland

Was wondering if Crosthwaite might bob up somewhere. Drew a handy signing too if he can get things right.

Reckon the second Sydney team (Sixers) will have a few decent names on their books shortly!

Say Watson, Lee, Haddin, S O'Keefe, Phil Hughes, Cummins, Hazelwood & Copeland for starters, if you look at the Blues squad which aren't committed yet.

Even if some of them end up at the Thunder, you would say there is some talent around (and anyway, NSW always have it over the Vics, you know that;)).

Big one will be what international players are still out there in the marketplace.

If you were part of the franchise team, I'd be telling them to play money ball. Have a look at guys that have performed well in the first grade competitions around Australia, look at England, South Africa and NZ situations with their competitions and try to lock in guys cheap for a year with options on a couple years depending on performances.

Collingwood's bowling has been very ordinary in T20 outside England. He's gotta better than Gibbs though. Seems to me Mickey is giving a friend some help there. A foreign spin bowler or Gul would have been far more use.

I'd try and pick up Tahir from SA, gun leggie but he'll probably be told not to as he will more than likely play in the next test series against Australia and take us to the cleaners.

Okay, I was sucked in, checked out the Heat FB site this am, and blow me down, they've signed Brendon McCullum!:thumbsu:

Handy recruit indeed. Don't know how much he'll play, but he should be there for the first couple of games anyway as they will be after the Test series.

Also see the Thunder have announced Phil Hughes, a few more Queenslanders in Ben Dunk and Craig Philipson, Tigers allrounder Luke Butterworth and Scott Coyte, a favourite on this board I recall!

And the Tele has got Patrick Cummins & Brett Lee with the Sydney Sixers? Has that been released?
