Hobart have apparently signed an experienced English opening batsman as their second international. Could be that Lumb guy that was with Queensland last year though I guess.

Hobart so far: Cosgrove, Paine, Birt, Lockyear, Gulbis, Johnstone, Rana Naved, Doherty, Hogan

Ive heard this as well (but its not Lumb)

Shaun Tait
The pace-bowling dynamo from Western Australia was one of the Renegades first interstate recruits and with stats like 87 wickets from 62 T20 matches with an economy rate of 7.67 why wouldn’t he be? Tait’s best figures stand at 4/14, and he is credited with the second fastest delivery ever recorded at 161.1km/hour.

ummmmm

Daily Telegraphs says these are either very likely or done...

Fidel Edwards - Sydney Thunder
Dan Christian - Brisbane Heat
Phil Jaques - Hobart Hurricanes
Callum Ferguson - Hobart Hurricanes

Hoggy on SEN said these two yesterday...

George Bailey - Melbourne Stars
James Faulkner - Melbourne Stars

So Sydney Thunder will probably spend 60% of their cap on three players.

I want more internationals announced. The Renegades may have a two to announce on Thursday I think.

Looks like all the Redbacks players don't want to play T20 in Adelaide this year.

Everyone is poaching the champions.

Fidel would be good, wouldn't mind seeing Taylor and Russell getting picked up too.

Noooooooooooooooooooooooooo!!!!!

Wouldn't be shocked if they move interstate after this season. glad we haven't lost anybody interstate.

Yeah wont be easy to support a team with Collingwood and Gibbs in it..

Fortunately one of them if not both may well prove to not be best XI. I'd have Beaton in there before either.

:thumbsu: :thumbsd: (not sure which should apply)

Ferguson would be a great pick up for Hobart, Jaques maybe not quite so....

English Int/Jaques
Cosgrove
Paine
Birt
Ferguson
Gulbis/Lockyear

Strong top 6.

Rana bowls a lot better with the old ball so they will need another genuine new ball bowler and/or Krejza.

Imo, I'd like to have the state teams keep there players and not transfer to other "franchises", brink back last years format!

FFS, WA signed Birt, and he's not playing for Perth, and we lost Hogan.

If Mitch Marsh went to a different state, I would riot!

I'll still follow the Perth Scorchers though.

I doubt Ferguson will sign with Hobart...

Surely after Christian and Tait leaving the state, Adelaide cant lose him as well!

Yeah Adelaide must have some expensive signings lined up if the can't afford to keep Christian and Tait.

I guess Afridi would be asking for alot if they got for him again and they're probably looking at getting Rashid or someone similar as well.
