#2 Darcy James
Hard nosed defender who used the ball well and showed good leadership. Is an overage player so don't think he will get a look in the draft but could develop into a Mark Baguley type player in the future.

#4 Will Setterfield
Kicked an awesome goal in the pocket winning a clearance in the pocket shaking of a tackler and snapping a goal. Is a powerful player that runs the ground well so isn't just purely inside and always looks a threat when forward. One negative is his awareness, he seems to get run down from behind a bit but apart from that he looks a top 10 talent. Played a good game flashing in and out.

#5 Andrew McGrath
His speed is elite he just covers so much ground with his speed and just explodes out of clearances. Kicking was shocking early but was back to being elite after qtr time. Was moved onto Stephenson after he started to take the game away from Sandringham and McGrath kept him goalless afterwards. He has had better games but was still influential with his run, smarts and skills a real standout.

#7 Corey Lyons
Super in the contest all day and got Sandringham over the line with the winning goal. He was the most important player in the last quarter winning plenty of hard ball and just popping up everywhere. Hard working midfielder that can win the footy inside and out he has been underrated but after this game he should start getting more attention.

#8 Tim Taranto
His marking is sensational and would have got a stack of the footy today. Started forward but went into the middle after half time and was everywhere. Kicking wasn't the best today but he worked hard and won a lot of hard footy and was crucial in the last quarter.

#10 Jack Scrimshaw
Weaves through traffic like its nothing he just looks so smooth for a guy his size. Whenever he is near the footy you take notice. Started in defence and was awesome then went forward and instantly hit the scoreboard. Won a lot of contested footy aswell to knock that criticism of the list. Would have to be a top 10 certainty he could be the Bontempelli of this draft.

#11 Hamish Brayshaw
Toiled hard up forward he kicked 2 but still didn't impact the game much, went into the midfield after half time and did a few nice things. Needs to win more of the footy to be considered top 30.

#13 Oliver Florent
Very quiet early and wasn't until he copted a big knock did he click into gear. Was moved to half back to get more of the footy and it worked with him doing some great runs and link up play. Has some talent but is a little too much outside at the moment.

#23 Kye Beveridge
Son of Bulldogs coach Luke he is a player you cant not love, is only small but goes in hard and fast and uses the footy pretty well. Would like a team to give him a punt in the rookie draft because he is a very likeable player with speed, toughness and a bit of skill.

#59 Isaac Morrisby
Imposing Tall forward who is up for the 2017 draft. Shows a lot of talent and skill for a big guy and looks promising as a top 30 player for next year.

Eastern Ranges
#5 Jordan Lynch
Annoying little bugger that you either love or hate he loves the tussle and winning the hard footy. Would make a good tagger at AFL level but not sure he goes in the main draft.

#7 Jordan Gallucci
There is a bit of Stevie J about Gallucci he can make the impossible seem easy and the easy look impossible. Is a great and long kick a lot of the time but can bite of more than he can chew aswell. Can take a daring run to open the game and then he can try to much and get run down. Kicked a miracle goal Stevie J would be proud of and just looks dangerous whenever he gets the footy.

#11 Callum Brown
The Pies father-son was in and out of the game a bit, does some nice things and is usually a good user but lacks a point of difference for his size and doesn't win enough of the inside footy. Still think he gets bid on later in the draft.

#12 Dylan Clarke
Was very impressed with him today showed great footy smarts and won a lot of hard contested footy aswell as running hard to get the link up touches. Looks an all-rounded midfielder. Not an elite kick but good enough for his position. Done his top 20 chances no harm.

#16 Jaidyn Stephenson
Jack in the box forward who was electric and dangerous whenever he was near the footy whether that is in the air or ground level. Was Wingard like. Is a 2017 prospect and looks top be a top 10 certainty at this point. McGrath was sent to him just showing how influential he was even as an underager.

#17 Haydn Stanley
Was pinpoint and assured in the backline, His kicking was sublime and really set them up for the rebound. Could be a late smokey this year.

#18 Sam Hayes
Looked ok in the ruck didn't dominate but showed some nice things he will be highly sought after in next years draft.

#24 Jack Maibaum
Didn't really see much of it, had a good intercept mark early but his kick was poor and was hardly sighted after that. Not sure where he fits in the draft but doesn't look top 40 to me.

#51 Josh Begley
Powerful player who made an impact when he got near the footy, fitness is still obviously an issue but has been making good progress in that department and have heard a lot of clubs are keen on him in the 2nd round of the draft. Uses the footy well and is dangerous forward.

#2 Hunter Clarke
Was quite today did a few nice things out of the backline, 2017 prospect that has been promsing this year with his dash and aggression.

Had another poor day on Charlie Spargo who beat him the last time they played, Just had a dog of a day with nothing going right with some poor kicks and handballs completing his day.

#10 Myles Poholke
Another solid game for Poholke who toiled hard again and got plenty of the footy. Kicking to advantage still an issue but kicked 2 very good goals and was one of Dandys better players for the 4 quarters.

#11 Tom Glen
Got a lot of the footy bit has some bad skill errors and being an overager this year I cant see him knocking the door down for getting drafted despite his best efforts.

#12 Bailey Morrish
Me and Shifter where in agreement last time these 2 teams played that he could be a smokey for the draft this year and his performace today was even better. Provided great rebound and intercepting. USed the footy well and cut of heaps of Murrays forward movements. Certainty to get drafted now for mine.

#17 Josh Battle
Wow what a game he was killing em today whenever he went near the footy something happened. His leading patterns are good, Runs hard and always gives an option. Someone asked Dodoro if he is in the mix for pick 19 and he thinks he wont make it to that pick and that was before he ran amuck in the 3rd kicking some sensational goals. Would have claims to be the first picked key forward in this draft top 15 almost a certainty.

#42 Dan Allsop
One touch small forward who slips through traffic with ease and isn't afraid to win the hard footy when its his turn. Only kicked the 1 goal but always looked dangerous and looks a good option for anyone wanting a small forward late in the draft.

Murray Bushrangers
#6 Charlie Spargo
Elusive little player that gets under the skin for his opponents, he is very dangerous always looking like kicking a goal or setting up a goal and troubled them a lot. Gets a lot of the footy, goes in hard for a small bloke and can run like hell. A 2017 prospect who should go early.

#7 Will Brodie
His game was good but became great after half time when the team needed a lift he stood up in the clearances winning the ball and getting it forward, laying crunching tackles and just making a contest. Just one of those players that goes up a notch when the game is on the line and that should see him be highly sort after for the first few picks.

#8 Jake Page
Surprise packet he moves well and uses the footy pretty good aswell. has good speed, smarts and agility and could be a late draft smokey.

#11 Louis Pinnuck
Kicking once again a standout. Didn't get much of it and doesn't offer much overhead but toils hard and is a good user once he does get it. Should get drafted late.

#13 Lachlan Tiziani
Had a good game up forward with his marking and positioning a worry for dandy. Not overly quick which might be the reason he wasn't picked up last year but could be worth a punt to a team after mid sized forward.

#18 Trent McMullen
Over age key position player who was dangerous up forward with his marking and ground level work being very good. Has a nice leap and clean hands for a big guy and would have done his draft chances no harm.

#20 Zac Sproule
Started the game forward but looked much better when moved to defence. His work rate and positioning was excellent and showed some good leadership aswell. His versatility should see his stocks rise with a bid coming somewhere in the 2nd round I reckon.

#22 Harry Morrison
Was super clean and composed at half back and used the footy pretty well. Not sure where he fits in the draft but his game was very good and id like to watch him again before the year finishes to get a better idea of where he sits.

#40 Todd Marshall
Had an absolute dog of a day. Lead to wrong spots and when he did get the footy moved it slow with big loopy kicks which didn't help anyone. Looked good with some half-volleys at times but didn't look anywhere near it and Battle has passed him as the best Forward in this draft, Expect a better showing in the next game.

Some stats from some of the juniors playing today courtesy of the TAC Cup website. I'll first give a quick shoutout to some of my favourite prospects in next years draft. Darcy Parish' younger brother Cassidy Parish was BOG. James Worpel kicked 2 goals and my favourite of next years draft class Jaidyn Stephenson kicked 3 goals for the Ranges backing up his 5 goal performance last week.

Ben Ainsworth was named as BOG for the Gippsland Power with 3 goals. Jarrod Berry kicked another 3 goals this week playing out of the midfield and was named as the Rebels best. Hugh McCluggage continued to show his ability in front of the big sticks with 4 goals.

Joshua Hannon, although experiencing a decent form slump, a real chance to be a late draft bolter! I have him going second round, tall, athletic and a hard worker with reasonable skills to match

He has transformed as a player, I remember watching him in under 16s for Upwey and loved how he took the game on at every opportunity but sometimes he rushed his kicks and now he is much more reserved and calculated player.

Thanks for this, very much interested in tomorrows Murray v Dandenong match. Brodie, Marshall and Battle I am very keen to see how they go from an Essendon perspective. I get the feeling Brodie might dominate.

Brodie had six disposals in the first six minutes of the final term, was relatively quiet other than his 10 clearances for the contest.

Marshall's carrying an injury & hardly got near it. Needs the week off, Clavarino was superb on him.

Battle much better when he plays up the ground, as he did on the weekend.

Sandringham leads 63 to 24 at 3tr time. They have too many stars across the park. Taranto has been enormous. Lyons, Florent, McGrath, Scrimshaw and Setterfield all been good. Goy Lok has been consistent and the sandy backline has been very solid. For dandy not much is going right. Fowler has 2 and always looks dangerous. Poholke and Gill-Renouf the pick of the mids.

Oakliegh leads 22 to 14. McCluggage is man handled at every bounce and throw in. Drew been good without being prolific. Cox has shown some nice things. For oakliegh Larkey has looked good up forward. Phillips, Lane, Duman and Johnstone also good.

That is even more impressive then ... where does he sit for you Don Patch in the pecking order. I have liked his game all year. I think he is the type of player that will thrive in a AFL system

Think he fits in the 15-30 range it's very tight in the draft and I could guarantee a lot of bolsters and sliders at draft time. He shows good speed and touch and love his chases he gives it his all. Hard to place exactly but late first to late second would be his range imo.
